HELLO THERE!
WE ARE
SAM & ELIZABETH
FROM NEW YORK
We are so grateful to have this opportunity!
We are Sam and Elizabeth, high school sweethearts that have been married for 15 years. We always wanted to have a family since we both come from big families and are really close with our siblings. We were lucky enough to have our daughter in 2018, but after many years of infertility treatments, we were unable to have any more biological children. We believe that love is the most important thing that makes a family, and we are excited for the opportunity to grow our family through adoption. We would cherish providing a loving home for a child and to foster a strong sibling bond between our children.ABOUT SAM

Sam grew up on a farm and is the fourth boy out of five brothers. He has always been a motivated individual with a knack for problem solving and a love of animals. He harnessed that passion into his career in the veterinary medicine field. Sam loves spending time outside and enjoys running, kayaking, hiking, playing soccer, and biking. His other hobbies include gardening, model trains, and going to our family’s camp. Sam is easy to get along with and is funny and engaging. He is an energetic, playful, loving, and supportive father to his daughter as well as an uncle to eleven nieces and nephews who he spends a lot of time with. Family is the most important thing to Sam, and he is very close with his brothers, parents, and grandparents.

Elizabeth always knew she wanted to work with children in the education field. She is thoughtful, kind, and empathetic. She has a love of books and reading, which led her to become an elementary school librarian. She is crafty and creative and is known for designing elaborate matching family Halloween costumes. She loves crocheting and using her Cricut machine to create things. Elizabeth is a huge Disney and Harry Potter fan and enjoys seeing musical theater. As a mother, Elizabeth is nurturing, patient, sensitive, and fair. She loves playing pretend with Iris, singing her lullabies, and reading aloud to her. Elizabeth is also close with her 3 siblings and believes in strong family bonds.

Iris is a sweet, sensitive, imaginative, and playful seven-year-old. She is just as happy being inside reading books, coloring, or playing pretend as she is playing outside. She enjoys kayaking, soccer, doing the monkey bars, and going to gymnastics and dance classes. She is gentle, kind, and helpful with other children and loves playing with friends and her eleven cousins. If someone is sad, she comforts them and makes them feel better. She has always dreamed of becoming a big sister, and with her big heart, we know she would make an amazing one.
OUR PETS
MEET OUR PETS
We have our own little zoo at our house since Sam works in the veterinary field and Elizabeth is also an animal lover. We have two rescued cats: Cinder, a spunky gray short hair, and Hufflepuff (Puff) a sweet white Persian, who is Elizabeth’s shadow. We recently adopted Scout, a yellow lab puppy who wants to be friends with anything that breathes and give them all the puppy kisses. Iris also has a mini lop bunny rabbit named Dot, and then there are our six chickens, also known as “the ladies.” Our daughter, Iris, is being raised to have a love and respect for animals and is learning that we have a responsibility to care for them and treat them with kindness.
OUR HOME & COMMUNITY
We live in a small and charming rural village that has a main street with a cafe, antique shop, library, and restaurants. There are lots of sidewalks for walking, riding scooters, and bikes. There is a park within walking distance of our home with trails, a pond, and a playground. Our neighborhood is home to many families with young children, and the school district is one of the top rated among New York state schools. Although our village is small, we are only a short drive from museums, theatres, sports fields, and other cultural and recreational amenities. Our home is a historic two-story farmhouse with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. We have a large backyard with a deck, barn, chicken coop, garden, and playset. We live nearby to many of our extended family members and visit with each other weekly.

THANK YOU
FOR CONSIDERING US
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our profile and considering our family. We cannot imagine how hard making such a decision might be, but know that we promise to love, care for, and provide a loving, happy, stable, and supportive life for your little one. We promise to share your child’s story with them, and we are willing to be open with you to share photos, letters, calls, and even meetings if you are comfortable, so that both you and the child can maintain that important connection. We can’t wait to dote on a sweet little baby and watch them grow with the best big sister by their side. Being a part of our family means joining a large and happy extended family as well. So many cousins, aunts, uncles, and Grandmas and Grandpas are nearby to us. We are lucky to have such a strong support system. As parents, we will instill the values of kindness, faith, perseverance, and curiosity, while always encouraging our children to be themselves. We can’t wait for magical family vacations to Disney World, hanging out at family camp, walking to the park, going to the zoo, museums, and kayak and bike rides. We look forward to cousin play times, kitchen dance parties, playing board games, and bedtime stories. We promise to give your child a life of love, enriching experiences, and unwavering support. Words could not express the gratitude and joy we would feel at being given the opportunity to parent this child.
Love,
Sam, Elizabeth, and Iris
