Meet Nic and Mary, a Wisconsin couple raising their energetic son, Kaiden, through open adoption. Their country home is filled with gardens, chickens, outdoor adventures, faith, and close family. They cherish their relationship with Kaiden’s birth family and hope to welcome another child with love, stability, belonging, and lifelong connection.
We are so grateful to have this opportunity!
We have always wanted a large family with a lot of children but we have been unable to conceive. We decided to grow our family through an open adoption and we were blessed to adopt our two year old son. We love being parents with all the joys, sorrows, and everything in between. We hope and pray to grow our family once again through adoption. Our home is filled with love and it would be such a blessing to add another child.ABOUT NIC

I love being a father, a husband, and a Christian. My faith has grown in the last 8 years and I truly consider our family to be extremely blessed for having the ability to grow our family even more through adoption! Whether we’re going to the zoo, a local park, one of our favorite restaurants, going to a Brewers game, or enjoying a holiday together with family, I always enjoy the time we spend together as every minute of every day is precious!

I love being a mom and spending time with my family. I have a large family with 8 siblings and 7 nieces and nephews. We get together regularly during the year and on the holidays. I work one day a week as a nurse practitioner and am a stay at home mom the rest of the week. I love to spend time outside playing, going for walks, going to the zoo or the park, sitting around a campfire, spending time at the cabin, and gardening. In the fall I enjoy preserving the food grown in the gardens so we have fresh healthy foods during the cold months.

Kaiden is a goofy and energetic two year old boy. He enjoys coloring, painting, and playing with Play-Doh or cooking mommy and daddy food in his play kitchen. One of his favorite things is to be outside. He loves to ride his bike, watch trains passing by, helping in the garden, push his toys around the yard, go for walks, go to the park and go to the zoo. He has so much fun playing with his Nana, Papa, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He loves to go to play group every week and play with his friends and being around other children. He will make a great big brother.

OUR HOME & COMMUNITY
We live in a safe and quiet community with a country feel. We have a couple acres where we have some apple, pear, and cherry trees as well as grape vines and mulberry trees we recently planted. We fenced in part of our yard where we enjoy some of our outdoor play time and where our gardens are located. We have a long paved driveway which is perfect for riding bikes or drawing with sidewalk chalk. There is a trail close to our property where we like to take walks and there are several parks nearby where we enjoy the swings and slides.

We were married in 2012 and have always wanted a house full of children but we were never able to have any of our own. We decided to become foster parents and through foster care we were able to parent newborn triplets for almost 2 ½ years before they went home to live with their father. After that we wanted to bring a child into our home that needed a permanent place to stay. In 2024 we were blessed to grow our family through an open adoption. We pray to be blessed once again by adding another child to our family. We absolutely cherish everything about being parents and having a relationship with Kaiden’s birth mom and siblings.
We are grounded in our Christian faith which shapes how we treat others and how we raise our children. Our lives are built around a reliable everyday rhythm where a child can flourish. We have a stable home, close family, a strong network of friends, and a reliable routine. We are fully prepared for the sleepless nights, the scraped knees, the learning and growing, and the lifelong responsibility of raising a child with patience and humility. In our home curiosity is encouraged and mistakes are met with forgiveness, patience, and learning. They will grow up knowing they are deeply valued and loved. They will have a great education, a safe neighborhood, and a family that shows up for all the milestones.
