Our names are Jeff and Ashley, and have been together for 16 years and married for 9 years this October, 2026. For some time, we had been aware that we could not conceive naturally but we were devastated to find out in 2024 that even IVF would not be successful. After some time coping with this news, we started looking into adoption. We have so much love that we want to share with a child or two. As a couple, we are excited about this journey and look forward to sharing it with you and your baby.

Ashley would describe me as patient and relaxed. My Catholic faith keeps me centered when life gets difficult. Family is very important and nothing makes a holiday better than spending it with your loved ones. I love spending time with my brothers and talking to family daily.
I work from home as an architect for a small office where I’ve worked for the past 13 years. Outside of work, I volunteered my time with the local Exchange Club, serving on their Board of Directors and helping raise money for local charities. I also love to cook, enjoy playing golf and going for runs. I like to travel: Vermont or NH in the fall, Florida in the winter, and the CT shoreline in the summer.

I grew up in a small town in Rhode Island with my sister and my Mom. My Mom has always been my best friend and one of the most important people in my life. My Mom and I often take vacations and attend concerts together and will visit me if Jeff is away for the weekend. Since moving away from home, I’ve become close with my sister. I’m proud of my Portuguese heritage. I wouldn’t want to celebrate the Fourth of July anywhere other than Bristol RI surrounded by my family.
For ten years, I played the clarinet and was a member of the marching band. Jeff would describe me as fun and motivated, and I’d describe myself as independent, adventurous, and a true go-getter.

For the past 9 years, we have lived in our condo. We are friendly with our neighbors and have get togethers with them in our communal courtyard. In our condo community we have an outdoor pool which is fenced in and gets a lot of use during the summer. Beside the pool is a nice lawn area where children like to play. In our town, we have several nice parks that are close by. One park, Twin Brooks, has a nice playground that is very popular. They have a Farmer’s Market here every Thursday where we like to visit a really delicious kettle corn vendor. There are also nice trails nearby, including the Pequonnock River Valley, which has wonderful scenery for walking and biking.

Thank you for taking the time to review our profile and look at our photos. It’s hard to capture a snapshot of our lives and make sure everything important is included. We also know that this is a hard situation for you and you’re trying to make the right decisions.
Hopefully, our profile has given you a glimpse into the lives we hope to provide for your child, a place where they will feel welcomed and loved. They will have our support in all they strive to do, have our time for every question, and be welcomed by our extended families. They will grow up with diversity, learn about our culture and theirs and strive to be open minded.
There will be bedtime stories, dinners together around the table, and a desire for fun, weekend adventures. We will travel as a family and see forest trails up north, the seashore in the summer and hopefully, palm trees in the winter. Along the way, we will encourage hobbies, musical instruments and leisurely activities but see where their choices lead.
If you’re comfortable with it, we would love the opportunity to stay connected and make sure your child knows their story and where they come from. We would be honored to have you as part of our family in whatever way feels most comfortable and natural for you. There is no pressure or expectation—we simply want you to know that the door will always be open, and we would be grateful with whatever connection feels right.
