We are so grateful to have this opportunity!

We are Jason and Brandon, and we’re excited to share our lives with you! We have been together for fifteen years – a relationship built on a strong foundation of love and respect, with support from amazing family and friends. Two years ago, we adopted our son Xavi and we are now ready to grow our family one more time by becoming parents once again through adoption. Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family! We’re grateful for the chance to share a glimpse into our life and excited to begin this journey with you.

The middle of three boys, Brandon grew up close to family and friends. His parents taught him the importance of hard work and taking nothing for granted. Putting those words into action, Brandon is now a primary care pediatrician and researcher. His office is just a ten minute walk from our house and has flexible hours. He’s described by many as loving, self-less, and a terrific father. He is down for every adventure that Jason puts together! Brandon also loves fresh flowers and makes his own arrangements at home. When not outside with Jason and Xavi, he is busy learning Spanish, watching travel shows on YouTube, and planning the next playdate with friends across the city!

Jason is an energetic, live life to its fullest type of person. He loves to try new things and plan all the adventures for the family. He comes from a very close-knit family and understands the importance of family. In his spare time, Jason loves to cook recipes passed down from family or try new things in the kitchen. Jason also plays the accordion – even played for Xavi’s classmates at his school. When he’s not running around the house with Xavi, Jason loves pending time with his family and friends and exploring the city.

Xavi is full of life, love, and energy! We adopted Xavi from birth (through Adoption Alliance!) and are so grateful to his birth mother for helping us to start our family. He is ready to be a big brother! He loves running on the playground and around the kitchen, being chased by Papa (Jason). He is very social and will make friends anywhere he goes, especially with dogs in the park. Xavi gives the biggest hugs and strongest high fives (and fist bumps!). He also loves to read books with his Dada (Brandon) and pretend to cook in his kitchen like Papa (Jason). Tacos are his favorite food – he’ll eat anything with a tortilla!

OUR HOME & COMMUNITY

We live on a quiet city street in Maryland. It’s just a few steps from our local public park and a 5 minute walk to the neighborhood ice cream shop. Our neighborhood is filled with close-knit families and young children, with several schools that we can walk to. We spend our weekends in the park, on the playgrounds, or in the zoo or kids’ museum. When we’re not outside, we’re in our house cooking in the kitchen, where Jason takes charge as head chef. We have a great group of close friends with young children – Sunday afternoon playdates are our favorite!

Fun times on vacation
Each night, we read books before bed. Since Xavi was born two years ago, we have always read the book “Love Makes a Family.” We’ve learned a lot about being parents during that time – including that love is what truly makes our family special and that we have even more love to give. We now hope to grow our family a second time through adoption.

Having a second child is a dream of ours, and a dream that we hope to share with you. We hope our child will grow into a person who is filled with an appreciation for where they came from and a drive to make the future a little better for everyone around them. We promise to pass down family traditions, like performing skits during family get togethers, cooking traditional dishes, and celebrating the holidays as a big family. We hope to teach them to always work hard, be grateful for what you have, give back to others, and keep your family and friends close. We promise to raise our kids in a diverse home and teach them to be understanding and accepting of all people. We promise to encourage their creativity and support them in all that they put their minds to. Above all else, we promise to love our kids unconditionally because “Love Makes a Family.”
