From the very beginning, we knew we wanted to build a family together. We talked about it on our first date! Both of us grew up in loving, close-knit families where connections with siblings and many, many cousins shaped who we are today. As a gay couple, we understood that starting a family would look a little different, but adoption felt like the perfect path for us. OUR HOME & COMMUNITY
We live in a cozy family-friendly neighborhood in New York. Our apartment is bright and comfortable with plenty of space to grow. We’re lucky to have one of the best city parks nearby where we enjoy long walks with Barkley and look forward to spending time outside as a family. The neighborhood feels like a little village within the city, with playgrounds, great schools, and friendly neighbors (including some of Ben’s cousins and their young kids just down the block). We’re also just a short drive from more of Ben and Matan’s family, who can’t wait to be involved in our child’s life. Our community is diverse, welcoming, and full of young families, making it the perfect place for a child.
