Sean and Lauren

Hey there! We are Lauren, Sean, & Peyton from Texas. We are excited to be on this journey once again to grow our family. It’s so very nice to “meet” you! As you are considering an adoption plan, we want to thank you for considering us.

After infertility treatments and several diagnoses, we felt called to adoption. In May 2022 we got the most amazing phone call and found out that we were chosen to be parents to a very active 5-year-old boy! Our son, Peyton, has been our biggest gift and greatest blessing. Adoption has given us a life fuller and more vibrant than we ever imagined. We tell Peyton that he grew in our hearts, and our hearts are already growing for our future family. We know that through adoption our family expands by many.

WE ARE EXCITED TO BE ON THIS JOURNEY ONCE AGAIN TO GROW OUR FAMILY.

It’s so very nice to “meet” you! As you are
considering an adoption plan, we want to
thank you for considering us.

We have an open adoption with Peyton’s first adoptive family and hope to have an open adoption this time as well (photos, texts, calls, annual visits) if you are comfortable with that.

What an honor it is to meet you on your journey. We have so much respect for you. We are sure this process is not easy, and we are praying for you and your child as you consider all of your options. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about our family.

Story

HONEYMOON BLESSING AT THE VATICAN

Our love story started in the most romantic way; we met on a dating app! We exchanged a few messages and then started talking on the phone for about a week before meeting in person. It was like we had known each other forever. There were sparks and fireworks, but there was also a peace unlike any we had experienced before. Together we are truly the best versions of ourselves. It only took us 5 months to get engaged and we were married in 2020. We were one of the lucky couples who were able to have a “normal” wedding before COVID hit; our wedding had over 600 guests!

PARENTING FUEL

The love we have for each other has only grown over these three years. As newlyweds, we navigated the challenging world of 2020 and infertility. We’ve been through a lot of pain and heartbreak but these trials have only brought us closer. We are best friends and it’s been so much fun seeing our love expand and encompass our son. As a family we spend every evening and weekend together and always share meals around the table. Lauren is a public school educator and has every summer and holiday off. Sean changed careers after Peyton’s adoption so he could have a job with steady hours that allowed him to be home every weekend.

ABOUT

LAUREN

by Sean

I'M ALWAYS GAME FOR AN ADVENTURE

Lauren and I are opposites, but complement each other perfectly. She is definitely my better half. Watching Lauren grow into motherhood with Peyton just reinforced everything I already knew about her. She gives 100% of herself to those she cares about. She is an extremely hard worker and has created a beautiful space for our family. Her smile brightens up a room in a second; it’s infectious. She always has me laughing when she does her quirky, happy dance when she eats good food. Now Peyton just dances right along with her. She keeps our home filled with music and laughter but is also a great comforter. I’m always amazed at her ability to soothe and nurture the littles in our life. She takes the time to engage and interact with not only our son, and several nieces, but also the junior high school students she loves as her own.

DO WHAT YOU LOVE,

LOVE WHAT YOU DO

I’m a junior high school choir director and truly love what I do! My job allows me to have weekends, holidays, and summers off with my children. I am passionate about teaching my 6th-8th graders about the wonderful world of music and how to navigate the crazy world of junior high. My students truly become part of my heart family. They’ve met and love Peyton and he loves going to Mom’s work for visits!

SEAN

DAD & PEYTON AT A LOCAL FAVORITE EATING SPOT

Sean is the calm to my crazy. He cares deeply for his family and friends and would give the shirt off his back to a stranger if they needed it. He is honest, loyal, kind-hearted, a hard worker, wonderful provider and a fantastic listener. He takes time out of every day to play with Peyton, read to him, and be a present father. He does not believe in “gender roles” when it comes to raising children and shares the responsibility 100%. I adore that he still brings me flowers “just because” and works hard to be the best father he can be. The connection Peyton and Sean have is very sweet and Peyton wants to be just like his Daddy! I’m so blessed to be able to parent alongside him and call him my best friend and husband.

DO WHAT YOU LOVE,

LOVE WHAT YOU DO

I recently switched careers to be able to spend every weekend with my family. I was in the world of retail for over 10 years (grocery/bakery) and now work in a corporate office as a customer service specialist. The company I work for is an international company that deals with used cooking oil/grease and recycles it. This position allows me to focus on what’s most important in my life; my family.

HOME

Our rural, Texas home is special to us. It’s where Lauren’s parents brought her home from the hospital. Three-bedroom, two-bath farmhouse with a big front and back yard. Plenty of space to run around and play. Peyton loves to spend his time outdoors running around with our dogs (Tucker and Trudy) and making mudpies! Lauren’s parents also have an inground pool and live a few minutes down the road. We love being so close to Jedi and Gigi!

Peyton is a very active, affectionate, and playful kiddo. He is so excited to be a big brother and we know he’s going to be an amazing one! He loves spending time with his cousins and is very sweet and gentle around them. Peyton has a heart for helping others. Lately he has said when he grows up that he will be an ambulance driver and fireman! We encourage him to dream big and love to hear him tell us the affirmations we tell him daily. “Mom! I can do hard things!”

MEET OUR

loved ones

We are blessed to be surrounded by our large families! They are an incredible support system with a lot of love. We live closest to most of Lauren’s family (within a 10 mile radius) and see Jedi and Gigi almost daily. Sean’s family are mostly centered in Central Texas. We love traveling the few hours to visit with them and we see them multiple times each year. It’s always a blast when we are all together. You’re sure to find great food, loads of laughter, and an abundance of love.

KOLACHE MAKING
ANNUAL FAMILY CHRISTMAS PHOTO

We genuinely enjoy spending time together and do so often. Sean has three younger sisters, a brother, and three nieces. Lauren has two younger sisters, two brothers, and one niece. We are in the stage of life where our families are growing and it’s truly so much fun!

Adoption was not new to our families as Sean and I both have adopted cousins. With Peyton’s adoption we gained two very special family members; Nonna and PopPop! They are excited to be “grandparents” yet again through adoption. They reside in Florida and we travel to see them each year.

IF YOU DECIDE TO PLACE YOUR CHILD IN OUR FAMILY, WE PROMISE :

• To always be there for them no matter what

• To love them unconditionally

• We will raise them to know, love, and serve the Lord

• They will always have a stable home and family unit

• To provide them with everything they need, and occasionally spoil them with the things they want

• We will encourage them to find their passions and always follow their dreams

• We will provide all the resources/ therapies/support they might need to thrive

• To keep them safe and protect them

• We will always make sure a family member attends all important life events (games, recitals, graduations, etc.)

• We will take them on adventures and vacations at least once a year

• To teach them how loved they are by you and their family

• To always be honest with them about where they came from and how much love and respect we have for you

Before

you go

As you flipped through the pages of our life, we hope you could feel the joy and love we already have for our future family. Family is important to us. Through adoption, we expand by many and including our child’s family (birth or adoptive) in their life is important to us. We always tell Peyton he is so very lucky because he has double the family who love him.

We believe adoption is a loving act of self-sacrifice and know that creating an adoption plan is not easy. If you should select us to parent your child, they will be cherished, protected, provided for, and loved forever. The journey does not end here; it’s only just beginning.
