Rocco and Ivy

Hello! We are Iveliss and Rocco from New York! We thank you for considering us and for taking the time to get to know us. We have been married over five years now. We are both very ambitious hard working individuals but always make time to stop and enjoy life. We love to travel, see new places, and try different foods. Most of the time you can find us hanging out with our family, friends, and 1 year old Labrador, Luna. Having children was something we always wanted but just assumed would happen on its own. Until it didn’t. We have struggled with fertility for the past 4 years. It has been a very emotionally draining experience. Although, being the eternal optimists that we are, we have not given up hope. This experience has opened our minds and our hearts to adoption. Your child would be a beautiful blessing to our lives. We feel that an open adoption is in the best interest of your child where photos and updates are exchanged. We have always wanted to be parents and believe we have a lot of love and support to offer.

Hello!

- WE ARE -

IVELISS

AND ROCCO

from New York

We THANK YOU

for considering us and for taking the time to get to know us.

DEAR BIRTH PARENTS

WE MET

We first met in high school.

Rocco was sort of a class clown slacker type, while Ivy was the more studious quiet one. Although we didn’t seem to have much in common, we instantly hit it off. That’s probably what makes our relationship so good. We complete each other or make up for what the other lacks. Rocco, while hardworking as he is, is definitely the more laid back one. Iveliss is more motivated and organized. So we balance each other out. We believe balance in life is so important.

- OUR LIFE -

TOGETHER

We want to work hard but also don’t want to be so stressed out we forget to enjoy the journey of life. We typically work 4 to 5 days a week and Ivy always finds a way to make a home cooked meal. It’s usually something new she saw on TikTok. On the weekend, if Rocco isn’t fixing something around the house, we usually take our dog Luna with us on a hike. We have reached an age where we are financially secure and excited to raise a child with as much love and attention needed for them to have a happy, successful, prosperous life. Plus, having a kid is a great excuse for us to go to Disney World and water parks.

IVELISS

BY ROCCO

IVELISS (AKA IVY) TRULY IS MY OTHER HALF. I know people joke around about that but I mean it. Since I met Iveliss I have grown as a person in many ways. She keeps me grounded and always has my back in any situation. I have always admired Iveliss for her ambition. She has worked very hard to be where she is today, and watching her has inspired me to do the same. Of course the best thing about Ivy has to be her kind heart. Growing up as the eldest child she always had to look after her younger siblings. I think this made her into the caring and nurturing person she is today.

DO WHAT YOU LOVE

LOVE WHAT YOU DO

I have been practicing dentistry for over seven years since graduating from NYU. I love my profession because I get to meet and help people everyday. It’s a challenging profession that keeps me busy and inspires me to grow. For five years now I have worked in a large private practice with co-workers that I consider friends and family. Together we have even gone on mission trips to countries and provided free dental care for children and families in need. MY PROFESSION ALLOWS FLEXIBILITY, THE ABILITY TO CONTROL A WORK LIFE BALANCE AND MATERNITY LEAVE.

- ABOUT -

ROCCO

BY IVELISS

ROCCO IS A KIND, FUNNY AND EASY GOING GUY. I love him with all my heart! If there is a pool party at our home he is the first one to jump in and play with our nephews. A kid at heart but also incredibly hardworking and a successful small business owner. I am so proud of him. He is my best friend, the voice of reason and above all the most amazing friend I am blessed to have.

DO WHAT YOU LOVE

LOVE WHAT YOU DO

I opened my own first business over 7 years ago. It is my life work. When I first started, I would work almost everyday at least 10 hours a day. I poured everything I had into this business and I knew the only way it would be successful was if I put in the work. It was a stressful time but it paid off. I now have a team of trusted employees, one of which is one of my closest cousins. I work a normal 40 hour work week and spend most of my time focusing on the e-commerce side of the business. THIS ALLOWS ME TO WORK FROM HOME IF IN THE FUTURE I NEED TO.

Our Home

AND

Community

{

WE ARE BOTH BORN AND RAISED IN NEW YORK. We recently moved into our new home a little over a year ago. It is very different from where we both grew up but still a car ride away from our families and the city which we love. The houses are now farther apart with plenty of natural beauty and fresh air. We moved to this area mainly because of the great school district, but fell in love with the area because of the community and great hiking trails. The best part of our house has to be the yard. We have so much space outside and our dog, Luna takes full advantage of it. You will typically see Rocco and Luna playing soccer or fetch every morning and Ivy planting in the garden or sunroom.

FURRY FRIENDS

Luna is our sweet 1.5 year old Chocolate Labrador. We had her since she was an 8 week old pup. She is amazing with everyone from kids to older people. She enjoys longs walks, swimming, playing soccer and eating sticks.

We have always been “dog people”. While living in our first apartment we could only have a pet cat. We adopted Bobby and immediately he became part of the family. At first he was a bit shy but a few toys and treats later this little guy became a cuddling machine. We always see Bobby snuggled up somewhere comfy.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS

WHEN WE ARE NOT WORKING WE BOTH TAKE UP A LOT OF HOBBIES. Rocco loves strength training, fixing things around the house and playing in his weekly soccer league.

Ivy loves decorating our new home, cooking, reading new books, strength training and barre classes. Together we love planning trips to new exciting places, spending time with our dog, hikes and spending time with our friends and families.

IVELISS COMES FROM A BIG FAMILY WITH MANY SIBLINGS. Ivy’s family is Peruvian and still have many family members that live back there. They visit every few years and are very connected to their Peruvian roots (especially the food) and proud. Ivy’s dad loves to BBQ every Sunday during the summer and you will typically see the whole family there. Ivy’s sister has two kids, ages 7 and 9, and her stepbrother has a 6 year old. They are the life of the party for us right now. Being a former lifeguard, Rocco has taught them how to swim and now we can never get them out the pool on Sundays during the summer months.

WHILE ROCCO IS AN ONLY CHILD HE HAS A BIG ITALIAN FAMILY FULL OF CLOSE COUSINS AND AUNTS. Rocco’s parents come over during the week to hang out and help with Luna and gardening. We usually go to visit his aunt once a month for some good old fashion Italian home cooked meals. The holidays were always a lot of work because we typically had to bounce around to everyone’s house. Now with our new home, we like to host so that everyone is under one roof.

Our Thoughts

- ON -

Parenting

WE PROMISE TO KEEP AND HONOR AN OPEN ADOPTION THAT YOU ARE COMFORTABLE IN. Ultimately we feel this is best for your child’s well being and as she/he grows into adulthood and has questions about who and why they were adopted. As parents we are excited to share our lives and deeply dedicated to raising a child that is confident and kind. We imagine taking him/ her on vacations to all of our favorite places and making lasting memories, taking him/her to their first day of school and being part of the community, teaching them to read and ride a bike. When we moved to our new home the previous owners left a beautiful playground- we never had the heart to take it down in hopes we will one day have a child of our own to play on it.

OUR FINAL THOUGHTS

WE WILL RAISE YOUR CHILD WITH SO MUCH LOVE AND MAKE SURE THEY HAVE ALL THE TOOLS THEY NEED TO SUCCEED IN LIFE. We are a large integrated Hispanic and Italian family that are very loving, supportive and close. Your child will be part of constant family gatherings with friends and their children. Most importantly, we want to raise a good person with an open heart.

We can only imagine what a difficult decision you are making trying to find the right family for your treasured baby. We will share their adoption story with them with honor and help them embrace the love you have for them that has brought our stories together. We hope this process continues to unfold for you in a way that brings hope, peace, and joy.

love, respect & gratitude,

IVY AND ROCCO

WE WOULD LOVE TO

HEAR FROM YOU!
