Reed and Stephanie
Hi! We are Stephanie, Reed, Bouldin and Wilder. We are so grateful for your consideration as an adoptive family. We know you are facing such a difficult decision, and we hope to be a support in this time. Reed’s sister placed a child for adoption when she was younger, and his family walked through the process with her. She has been open about her experiences as a birth mother and encouraged us as we made the decision to adopt.
- WE ARE -
STEPHANIE, REED, BOULDIN
We are so grateful for your consideration as an adoptive family. We know you are facing such a difficult decision, and we hope to be a support in this time. Reed’s sister placed a child for adoption when she was younger, and his family walked through the process with her. She has been open about her experiences as a birth mother and encouraged us as we made the decision to adopt. From the beginning of our marriage, we have discussed a desire to adopt, and we now look forward to the opportunity to expand our family. We have room in our hearts and home to welcome a third child.
THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO GET TO KNOW MORE ABOUT US!
We live in a small Texas town with our two sons, Bouldin and Wilder.
We now live in a small Texas town and enjoy various outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and swimming. We try to stay active with our two sons and golden retriever. We have an amazing group of friends and community, as well as extended family that we visit often. We carve out time each week for a date night, and we can usually be found searching for Texas’ best barbecue or tacos followed by a night of live music.
We first met at church when Reed moved back to Texas in order to start medical school. Stephanie was working for a nonprofit and active in the young professionals’ group at church. We hit it off immediately and dated for two years. Reed was a busy student, and our dates consisted mostly of visits to Marble Slab or visiting Costco for free samples. We discovered that we just loved to laugh together. We married two years later in the heat of Texas summer and enjoyed a year of downtown life. We have grown immensely over the past twelve years as we moved numerous times, started our family, and built a life together.
Stephanie is playful, intelligent and a hard worker. She has a “playground sense of justice” and is always trying to fix the world. She loves our boys deeply and is helping to parent them to be men of integrity and high character. She is always laughing and does not take herself very seriously. She is a winner of dance contests and a righter of wrongs. She is selfsacrificing with the boys and always willing to give of herself. She loves reading, exploring nature and doing art with the boys. She loves adventure and wants to see the whole world. She is my best friend and partner, and I could not imagine living life without her.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE,
LOVE WHAT YOU DO!
Stephanie is currently a stay-at-home mom. She received a masters in macro social work and previously worked in fundraising and nonprofit administration. She raised funds to help breast cancer patients receive support and treatment in underserved communities. She transitioned home a few years ago, and she is grateful for the opportunity to stay home with our sons. She is active in our church and sons’ schools and serves on the board of directors for a local nonprofit.
Reed is the rock of our family and leads us well with wisdom and integrity. He strives to teach the boys life-long lessons to build their character as they grow into young men. He is also silly, loves to laugh, and loves being outdoors any moment he isn’t working. He enjoys playing and watching sports and building legos with the kids. He works hard as a physician but is always willing to jump in with the boys when he gets home from work. His pillow fighting skills are legendary. Not only is he a great dad, but he is a loving and thoughtful husband who loves to plan surprises and makes our marriage a priority. He approaches all decisions from a team mentality and values my input. He is an encourager that loves to dream big and live life fully.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE,
LOVE WHAT YOU DO!
Reed is an emergency physician who works at a variety of hospitals throughout Texas. Previously he was an accountant and went back to school to pursue medicine. He loves the opportunity to help people and works in a fast-paced emergency room. It is great having an ER doctor on hand in case of any emergencies, especially with young kids at home.
We live in a small Texas town with great history and celebrations. Our town has amazing parks and trails close to our home. Our home is in a new development, and we live on half an acre. Our home has four bedrooms, a large playroom, and an art station stocked with art supplies. Our backyard is large with a playset and trampoline plus sports equipment and yard games. We love that we live in a town with country life and two major cities close by. We play soccer and football in our backyard after school, and we love to go for scooter and bike rides throughout our neighborhood.

We rescued our golden retriever Griffin last year. He has been a sweet, cuddly addition to our family. He loves to go on family walks, but doesn’t enjoy hiking as much as we do. He is patient and loving with children and is always quick to give kisses. He still hasn’t figured out how to play fetch yet though.
Our boys are active in numerous sports including soccer, basketball, and flag football. They love learning new skills like biking, skateboarding, and ninja classes. We have an art station that allows them to create with paint and play doh in their own creative area. They are high energy boys, and they like to stay active both in and out of the house.

We are close to both sides of extended families. Reed’s parents live 1.5 hours away on a ranch, and we visit often to enjoy life in the country. The boys love fishing, shooting the bow and arrow, and going on tractor rides. Reed’s sisters live in Texas as well, and we enjoy getting all five cousins together frequently. We often travel with Reed’s family to Colorado and Florida to hike and play at the beach. The cousins love to plan performances and create their own adventures together. Stephanie’s parents live in Texas near her brother, his wife, and their young daughter. The cousins are close and celebrate major holidays together. Visiting pumpkin farms and decorating Christmas cookies together are beloved annual traditions. Our sons love to write letters and FaceTime our extended family on a regular basis. Reed’s family is originally from Michigan, and Stephanie’s is from Minnesota so we occasionally visit the Midwest to see extended family on both sides.
With Reed’s ER schedule, our family schedule has more flexibility than most. We love to travel and always incorporate the outdoors or a visit to a national park in our trips. We often take advantage of open weekdays with day trips to nearby state parks or rivers. In our home, we encourage creativity with lego building, kinetic sand, and art projects. Our art station is used daily and often covered in paint and play doh. We also are avid readers, and the boys enjoy reading new books and trips to the library. We both place a high priority on fitness, and daily runs or workouts at the gym are built into our daily rhythm.
Thank you for taking the time to consider us and learn more about our family. We know that this is only a snapshot of who we are, and we would love to share more with you if you are interested. We promise to raise your child in a loving, laughing, safe home with two amazing big brothers. As we witnessed through Reed’s sister’s adoption experience, there is great beauty with an open adoption. We are supportive of open adoption. We are happy to meet for visits and share letters and photos. We promise to provide your child with a home full of love and memories.
WE WOULD LOVE TO
HEAR FROM YOU!
