HELLO!
- WE ARE -
MEGAN &
NICHOLAS
from New York
WE ARE GRATEFUL that you have taken the time to read our profile. We hope that this information provides you with some peace in making such a difficult decision.
DEAR EXPECTANT PARENTS
We are high school sweethearts that have always dreamed of raising a child, and despite taking the long road, we are more ready than ever to share our love with your child.
After dating for 11 years, and 13 years of marriage, we had hoped to be well on our way with a growing family. However, after struggling with infertility, we discovered that our desires to raise a family had not diminished. Adoption provides a pathway to happiness and fulfillment in the lives of your child and ours. We are fortunate to have created a stable environment in our home and community, which is ready to provide an enriching upbringing for your child. We come from close-knit families that are both eager and excited to be grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING LETTERS, UPDATES, AND PHOTOS ALONG THE JOURNEY AS OUR CHILD GROWS!

WE MET
OUR RELATIONSHIP BEGAN IN THE 9TH GRADE OVER BOWLING OUTINGS WITH FRIENDS. While our bowling skills declined over the years, our relationship thrived. We were honored with the “cutest couple award” senior year of high school. After growing up together and seeing each other daily, we spent the next six years away from each other through college. We completed graduate school and married in 2010, which was the same year we welcomed our two dogs, Hoshi and Taiyou into the family.

TODAY
We were fortunate to move back to our home town in 2018 where we have lived since. Our town is a small, historic village within the school district that we graduated from. We have always envisioned our children attending the same school. We spend a great deal of time outside in our yard, flower and vegetable gardens, and
walking the village. When we are not at home, we are most likely enjoying forest walks, birdwatching, or planting trees on our rural property, which is a short drive away. We look forward to watching our child engage with nature, play with other children in our nearby park, and develop a love for their community just as we have.

MEGAN
- BY NICHOLAS -
MEGAN IS ONE OF A KIND AND I KNEW THIS WHEN WE STARTED DATING IN HIGH SCHOOL. She is intelligent, humble, kind, gentle, empathetic and one of the most optimistic individuals that I have ever met. Our struggles with infertility tested her optimism but despite the setbacks and disappointments, Megan never lost the belief that we would someday enrich the world of a child. She has a positive energy that is difficult to describe but can be felt by all of those around her. Her positivity is infectious and wonderful to observe when she plays with our nieces and nephews. While I could not be more excited about the prospect of raising and loving a child, I most desire watching Megan grow as a mother. Megan is a wonderful human being and her qualities will undoubtedly make her an incredible mother.

NICK
- BY MEGAN -
NICK IS AN INTRIGUING PERSON. HE IS CONFIDENT, BUT HUMBLE. He does not seek to be in the spotlight; however, adults and children alike gravitate to him to learn about his most recent interests or projects. He is constantly researching and fine-tuning to perfection. You may find him in the garden, in the forest, or outside running and announcing in excitement to share with the town when a bald eagle flies overhead. Every task for him is completed with utmost intensity. While he can be serious and focused, his humorous side is one of my favorites. I know that he will be a strong, supportive motivator, bringing lots of love and laughter. He strives to be healthy and happy, so that we can raise a family and be an active part of our child’s life. I am eager and excited for the days I can watch Nick being a dad.

PROFESSIONAL LIFE
NICK HAS WORKED AS A GASTROENTEROLOGIST FOR THE PAST SIX YEARS. He most enjoys the opportunity to prevent cancer through screening procedures. The relationships that he forms with his patients are the most rewarding and memorable aspects of his work. He has been fortunate to work in the community that he was born and raised, and he particularly enjoys the ability to walk to work every day.

HOME
WE LIVE IN A VICTORIAN HOUSE BUILT IN 1884 IN A SMALL, HISTORIC VILLAGE IN UPSTATE NEW YORK. We are fortunate to be able to walk the entire village and regularly run into neighbors and friends. Our village has a library and playground just two blocks away. We have a fenced in back yard with vegetable and flower gardens. We chose to move back to this town as both of our families live nearby, and we are within the school district that we graduated from.

HOBBIES & PETS
WE HAVE TWO SHIBA INUS NAMED HOSHI AND TAIYOU.
They both joined our family in 2010 when we were married. They are wonderful companions and our nieces and nephews love spending time with them.
We own a large plot of rural forested land. We spend many weekends here hiking, walking with the dogs and improving the forest and meadows. We have planted over 500 trees and shrubs to attract birds and all animals, alike. We look forward to allowing our child to learn about nature and experiencing the calmness that the wilderness can provide.

TIME
OUR FAMILIES ARE EQUALLY ENTERTAINING.
We have always enjoyed friendly competition with yard games, board games, and cards on both sides of the family. Nick’s parents live on a lake which is very enjoyable in the summer as his sister and brother-in-law are often able to join. Bonfires, boat rides, and kayaking on the lake with the family are summer staples. Nick’s parents are both retired and are able to pursue their hobbies such as Zumba, playing cards, golfing, and traveling.
Megan’s family regularly host picnics in celebration
of birthdays and holidays. These have become more frequent with the addition of nieces and nephews. Megan’s sisters are her two best friends. Megan’s mom is retired and has provided childcare for each of the grandchildren. Megan’s dad continues to work full time and spends the majority of his free time with grandchildren and house renovation projects for the family.
To say that our families are excited at the prospect of adding additional nieces/nephews/grandchildren would be an understatement.
