Landon and Amber
Hello!
We are VERY GRATEFUL to you for TAKING
THE TIME to review our profile.
- WE ARE -
AMBER
- AND -
LANDON
and hope you will consider us to parent your child.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking your time TO LEARN ABOUT US.
DEAR EXPECTANT
PARENTS
So far, we have lived a fulfilled life with our lovable cat, Momo. We enjoy mini adventures discovering small things around our home in Virginia. We have a love of learning and pursue knowledge. Now that we have grown our relationship, we want to grow our family and share our love through adoption. We feel incredibly blessed to be on this road of adoption. Early on in our relationship, we knew it would be difficult for us to have biological children. We immediately felt compelled to adopt. We knew when we were ready to be parents, we would choose this route. It is our hope to have an open adoption with you if you are comfortable with that. We would be honored to share pictures and letters on your child’s growth. After all, the more love in a child’s life the better. We cannot wait to share everything we have with our future child.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little more,
Amber and Landon

STORY
We met in 2013 in a church choir at college. Often, we would meet up before class to discuss our days (or more Amber’s day, as Landon took a little more time to open up). We became best friends first before ultimately deciding we liked each other too much to just be friends.
We believe in communication, honesty, and laughter, laughter being the most important; we love to spend time together. We have almost made our own little language speaking to each other. Within our first few months as a couple, whenever we told each other “I like your face”, it sounded like goldfish. Then turning into “I like goldfish” as a term of endearment.
ABOUT
US
Our lives now are filled with constantly looking for something interesting to share with others. We spend our weekends at the local farmers’ market, picnicking at a nearby park, and playing some video games. We love to expand our knowledge and do so by visiting historical sights, museums, and spending each night reading a chapter from the current book we found interesting. Our fur baby joins us in yoga time, book reading, and Halloween celebrations (he’s a pumpkin lover.)
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING THESE TYPES OF MEMORIES WITH OUR CHILD AS WELL.
LANDON
MY FAVORITE HUMAN
- Amber -
I knew when I first met Landon that he was a special type of person. He has this amazing ability to bring out the best in people. Whenever he meets someone new, they always feel so comfortable talking to him about everything. He is a kind-hearted person. One of the first times we visited my family, he spent hours playing chess with my little brother, who was six at the time. The time he took to teach my little brother and the patience to let him learn made me realize that he was what I wanted in a life partner.
Landon is very much a little kid at heart. He loves to make little jokes and play with Legos. He still thinks blanket forts are the coolest things. The kids in our lives love him because he will always play along with their stories and games.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE,
LOVE WHAT YOU DO
I AM A COMPUTER PROGRAMMER that builds software and services for customers in the public sector. It is a typical full-time job that requires me to be in the office, however, they are flexible on the hours and I’m also able to occasionally work from home. People may find computers boring, but I have always found them fascinating. Technology is quickly evolving, and I get to continuously learn about it.
AMBER
A TRUE DELIGHT
- Landon -
Amber has the personality that really shines and always brightens up the room. She also loves to have the spotlight and is willing to share that spotlight with others. Amber has a special gift where people just love her when they first meet, and they can instantly become friends. Even various vendors at the local farmer’s market remember and adore Amber. She is also very caring, protective, and accepting of others around her. When Amber hears that one of her friends has had a rough day, she will bring them a gift or visit them and listen. And when Amber is around kids, she includes every kid into her group. During a recent trip to see family, Amber gathered the kids together to make a cake just for fun. They became their own baking group and she let more kids join, no matter how late to the party they were.

I HELP MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS BETTER THEIR WRITING for academic essays, I also write curriculum for some courses. My job is part-time. It is very flexible as I get to choose the days I work and most work takes place in the evening, so I plan on being a full-time parent during the day. I enjoy the work very much as it allows me to use my skills in writing and education.
VIRGINIA
WHERE OUR HEARTS ARE
We moved to Virginia only three years ago and immediately it felt like home. We have fallen in love with the green scenery, the history, and the people. Currently, we live in an apartment where we are surrounded by families who play in the nearby park. Our apartment holds plenty of space for our “band” and friend get togethers. While we enjoy the quiet our home has in a suburban area, we are just a train ride away from the city where we can go to the museums we love.
MOMO
- OUR FUR BABY -
WE HAVE HAD OUR CAT FOR FOUR YEARS AND WE ADORE HIM. He is very friendly and wins the hearts of everyone he meets. He enjoys going exploring at the nearby park and laying down next to us while we’re reading. He seems to have his own opinion on the novels we choose to read.
LEARNING ENTERTAINMENT
AND MORE
IF THERE IS EVER AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPAND OUR KNOWLEDGE, WE ARE THERE.
From reading books to going on tours. We love going to museums. We love learning about the history behind random things and we also love to be entertained.
We read many books together, fiction that gets us to think about certain concepts and psychology.
Many nights we are looking for the next interesting TV show or movie.
Sometimes, we get our musical instruments out and play or sing.
Landon loves to tinker. He takes apart computers and devices to see how they work. Amber loves to create; whether through writing or painting; she loves to make the world beautiful.
TOGETHER WE MAKE A COMPLETE HOME.

THE PEOPLE WE LOVE
We have the most AMAZING SUPPORT SYSTEM made up of family & friends!
AMBER’S FAMILY: I have a very large family and a great network of close friends. When my parents divorced, I gained many siblings through marriage which resulted in eight sisters and five brothers, some being step and half siblings. I am very close to my mother. She is the one I turn to when I need someone; even though she lives many states away in Utah (as most of my family members do), she is never out of touch.
MY FATHER WAS ADOPTED by the man I know as my grandfather at a young age and was not aware of it until much later in his life. It was very hard on him. However, the experience taught me to be open with my child, even if the news seems difficult.
While our family is away, we have a close-knit group of friends we get together with to play games and explore local festivals. Four families and two children make up the group and we are always there for each other. At some of my most difficult moments I have been blessed with their service and love.
LANDON’S FAMILY: I have a close-knit family and great friends. I have two brothers and one sister. All my siblings are married to wonderful spouses and the two oldest siblings have kids. There are 4 nieces and 3 nephews so there are plenty of cousins for kids to play with, especially if you include Amber’s side of the family. My family is spread out in multiple states across the United States. Even though we are distant in proximity, we find ways to connect through weekly FaceTime calls and getting together to play video games online.
My parents love to travel around to spend time with all their grandchildren. We gather in person about once or twice a year, usually during the summertime or the holiday season.
I am naturally introverted, and I tend to surround myself with a small group of close friends that live nearby. We all help and support each other when there are issues related to work, help with kids, sudden emergencies, personal drama, or whatever unexpected surprises life throws at us. People say that “it takes a village to raise a child” and to me, that village is the community of friends that surround us.
- ABOUT -
Parenting
As we look back on our childhoods, there are things we both feel we would do differently from our parents. The most important thing would be to make sure there is always open communication. Communication is very important to both of us, and we feel it is a firm foundation to build a relationship. We always want our child to feel comfortable to be themselves and to talk to us. It is important to us that our child is always able to ask questions and we want to help them find those answers.
There are a few things our parents did that we would do. For instance, Landon’s parents always made an effort to support their children in whatever their passion was. They were supplying Landon with tinker toys as soon as he showed an interest in innovation. Amber’s mother was always about having fun. She would dance around the kitchen and bake desserts and tortillas with her kids. These are all things we hope to keep alive in our own home.
OUR FINAL
THOUGHTS
We appreciate the time you took to look over our profile. There is so much more to our lives we cannot wait to share with our child. Should you choose us to parent your child we would be overjoyed and hope to keep an open relationship between us all. As long as you are open to it, we would love to share letters, texts, and photos of your child’s progress. We promise to love your child, to teach them, and to give them every opportunity to find their true selves and follow their passion.
We wish you all the comfort in making your decision.
Thank you again FROM THE bottom of our hearts!
