PARENTS
We are both nurse educators and are passionate about life, people and our community. Since moving here from New York 10 years ago, during our off time we love to explore Texas, kick-back with Rigsby and sit on our back patio watching sunsets together. Traveling is our biggest hobby and we look forward to creating memories with our child around the world. We travel to upstate New York at least once a year to visit Jillian’s family. Rigsby, our fur-baby, is a very spoiled and loving 1.5-year-old Yorkie. He is excited to welcome a sibling in his house.
We can only imagine how difficult this decision is for you to make, but we hope that you will trust us with the future of your child. We are committed to an open adoption and look forward to sending updates that include pictures, letters and/ or annual in-person visits. Again, thank you for considering us to parent your child in our loving home.

ABOUT US
We met while both working for a local ambulance company. We worked a few shifts together and started to grow our friendship. John says it was ‘Love at First Sight’. After standing me up a few times, we became inseparable. We were engaged after 10 months and married two years later. Throughout our 16 years of marriage we have gone through many trials and tribulations from natural disaster, heartache to happiness. Our bond is unbreakable and together we have made it through stronger than ever.

TOGETHER
When we come home from work, we enjoy cooking together while listening to music. We relax in the evening playing fetch with Rigsby. Our hope is to teach your child how to play the piano or whatever instrument they chose. During football season, we root for the Florida Gators, Arizona State Sun Devils and the Chicago Bears. We’re looking forward to dressing your child up in matching team colors like we do with Rigsby. John’s Mexican heritage is important to our family and we will pass this on to your child.

JILLIAN

Jillian is a loving, devoted sister, mother of Rigsby, daughter and best of all, wife, who always provides support whenever her family needs it. She loves to spend her spare time reading nursing journals, calling and Facetiming her New York family and driving the country side. She has many talents such as cooking, playing the piano, sewing and shopping.
Jillian always takes the time out of her day to make sure Rigsby and I have everything we need. I never have to look over my shoulder because she always has my back.
Jillian as a mom will be loving, nurturing, patient and dependable. She has so much love to give and I know without a doubt your child will inherit her greatest qualities.

I work as director of nursing education for a large health care system. I lead a team of educators who are responsible for educating all types of nursing. I love my job because it challenges me and allows me to give back to my community.
I am able to work from home two days a week and my hours are very flexible. This is a great benefit while welcoming a future child into our family.

John is very outgoing and charismatic. He loves spending time with friends and making memories. I love that he knows a lot of world history, is a music buff and when we play jeopardy, 99.9% of the time has the correct answer. He makes me laugh every day and most importantly gives me unconditional love. He lights up when we Facetime or visit our nieces. When our oldest niece came to visit us, he couldn’t wait to share his favorite childhood book with her and listened as she read it.
He wants to pass on his Mexican heritage and show our child the beautiful sites of the world. In John’s spare time you will find him reading National Geographic, listening to music, working on his car or spending time with Rigsby and I. We have wanted to grow our family for a long time and we can’t wait to be parents and give so much love to our future children.

I am currently a certified behavioral health nurse educator for a local non-profit hospital. I am passionate about growing nurses and giving them tools to provide safe care to our community. I participate in my hospital’s community-based programs that support the mental health needs within the community. My job hours are flexible so that I am available for your child’s needs.
A PLACE

HOME
We live in the Lone Star State, Texas! Our home is in a rural gated community with a large playground and swimming pool. Our back patio has a great view of Texas sunsets and we look forward to sharing these with your child and Rigsby.
Our home is always decorated during the Christmas Holiday. We spend a lot of time in the living room with the fireplace on and listening to Christmas music. Every year we have a Friendsgiving with our group of friends and their children. We are excited to start this tradition and many others with your child.

RIGSBY
Rigsby, our 1.5-year-old Yorkie, runs the house. He loves to give kisses and snuggle on the couch. Two of our nieces have met Rigsby and he is very gentile with them. He is absolutely spoiled and can’t wait to share his ‘treats’ with his sibling(s).

HOBBIES & INTERESTS
We love and we mean love, listening to music. We have an Alexa Echo in every room so when we are getting ready in the morning, making breakfast, relaxing and sitting on the back patio, we are listening to music. John is like a human jukebox and it often turns into a game to see if he can ‘name that tune’. We enjoy hosting game night and dinner parties. We will often have a theme which allows us to explore different countries cuisines.
We enjoy walking 5k’s for charity with our dog Rigsby. He gets a lot of our attention now as he is our ‘furbaby’. He is very excited to have a human sibling.

As nurses we have job security and the ability to support a child financially. We promise to be open about adoption and how it has brought our family together. Our family is committed to welcoming your child and are excited to spoil and love them.
MEET OUR FAMILY
We both come from a small, but very close family.
Jillian has two sisters who are both married and have children. They look forward to adding another cousin to the growing family. John has one brother that is married with two children. All together we have four nieces and one nephew. They all call us Aunt Jilly & Uncle Johnny. Whenever we visit our families, one of the first things we plan is outings with our nieces/nephews. We are close with both of our parents, who can’t wait to be grandparents to your child.
Another important part of our life is “our family we got to choose”, our friends. Every year we have a Friendsgiving and host several dinner parties and/or game nights. Our friends are supporters of growing our family by adoption and can’t wait to be an aunt/uncle to your child.
We love celebrating the holidays with family and including our childhood traditions. Creating memories and traditions is something we always do. Jillian will always have a camera to capture all the get-togethers. We have adopted family members, who are open about their adoption and know they were chosen to be with us.
