Jerry and Christina

Hello, we are Christina & Jerry. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to take a glimpse into our lives. We look forward to learning more about you too!

We knew before we even got engaged that having a biological child wasn’t an option for us, but we knew that wouldn’t stop us from becoming parents. We believed it was our chosen path to become adoptive parents and share all of the love in our hearts with a baby. We also believe it is imperative to share the story of the most important person in their life, the person that gave them life- YOU! We will tell them they grew in our hearts and their mother’s tummy, and that they will always be loved by each and every one of us.

- About -

US

In anticipation of becoming parents we just relocated to a new home a couple of towns over from our previous one, to a more family oriented beautiful neighborhood and we couldn’t be happier or more proud. With children in every house on our serene cul-de-sac, we finally feel we have the perfect home for a child to grow and thrive, surrounded by a welcoming and loving community.

- THE STORY -

OF US

Our love story began 15 years ago, at the age of 18. When family wedding people ask how long we have been married we usually look at each other and laugh – technically it’s only been 4 years but we have been together almost half of our lifetime and shared countless memories, laughs, tears & adventures. It all started when Christina locked eyes with the cute boy in the leather jacket in the pizza place when she was out on Halloween with friends and the rest is history. We are best friends and knew we were soul mates from the beginning. We make each other laugh when times are hard, wipe away each other’s tears & both put family first.

About

Jerry

- WRITTEN BY CHRISTINA -

Jerry was that boyfriend that acknowledged every month of dating with a sweet card and special little gifts. At the time he was doing a Carpenter’s Union apprenticeship, going to school, and working but he still took time to remind me how important I was to him! I never could have dreamed we would be where we are today, but when he sets his mind to something, he does not stop until he accomplishes it. I’ve watched him work tirelessly for our future. It wasn’t always easy but together we made it to where we are today- in our beautiful home that we fixed up together. That apprentice 16 years ago is now a foreman with his own crew and has so many people that look up to him.

He has strong values, is honorable and loyal, and will help out anyone in need at the drop of a hat, no questions asked. He is my strength and best friend. I know in my heart beyond a shadow of a doubt, he is going to be the most amazing father!

About

Christina

- WRITTEN BY JERRY -

Christina and I met at a pizzeria. Who knew that getting a simple slice of pizza would lead to meeting the person I spend the rest of my life with. Christina has always been a hard worker. While getting straight A’s in high school she still made the time to work long hours in a restaurant. In 2008 Christina got a job as a receptionist for a law firm and since then she has been promoted to settlement/ appeals coordinator. Christina and I moved in together in 2013. That is where Christina showed support while I worked long hours to save money to start our life together. No matter what time I got home there was a hot meal ready and Christina would sit with me to talk about our day.

ABOUT CHRISTINA,

Christina is the rock that keeps our home together. When my brother asked us to be godparents to our niece we were so excited. Christina is amazing with her. Seeing Christina love and nurture her godchildren is how I know she will be an amazing mother.

HOME

We live in a suburban area in New York. It is a beautiful town where everyone knows their neighbors, but you still have your space. We also enjoy taking weekend trips with family to our upstate home on top of a scenic mountain for endless relaxation and activities for a change of scenery every once in a while.

After being in our first home for 5 years and “rebuilding” it from the inside out we felt it was time to fully prepare for a family of 3 (or 4!) and move to a bigger home in a more child friendly neighborhood.

After searching for a long time, we finally found our perfect forever home that we are settling into (a 5 minute drive from our old home)! It is so settling to be on a private block filled with children riding their bikes, playing hide & seek and doing all the fun things we did when we were young. We are close to beautiful scenic parks & trails.

THE ONES we love

WE BOTH COME FROM CLOSE-KN IT FAMILIES. THEY TRULY MEAN THE WORLD TO US!

One of the most important things we had in common from the moment we met is our family values. We have also learned family doesn’t always mean “blood”. Jerry comes from a much larger family, which in the beginning was a little intimidating to Christina! But luckily they welcomed her with open arms from the start. Coming from the traditional old school Italian family, the torch has been handed down to Jerry and his siblings, and they enjoy making homemade wine together every year.

Christina has one younger sister, who also is her best friend and she couldn’t imagine life without her! Christina’s mom is “superwoman”. She is the strongest, most hard working, most loving person. I was always my dad’s shadow. They keep a strong bond to this day. Since Christina was little he has suffered from kidney disease, and 10 years ago he needed a second transplant. Without hesitation, Christina knew it was something she wanted to do. Even though life gets hectic, and we don’t see each other as often as I’d like, we know everyday a piece of me is with him.

Last, but not least, the gift that changed both of our lives together, our Goddaughter/niece blessed our lives 2 years ago. She makes our hearts grow bigger every day. We are so ecstatic for the day we can watch her play with her little cousin!

FAMILY TRADITIONS

One reason our love is so strong is because we share the same family traditions, and at the end of the day nothing is more important than family. We used to be a “guest” at the big Sunday- sauce dinner now we anticipate when it’s our turn to host, although it’s hard to keep Jerry from eating all the meatballs before everyone gets to the table! Although sometimes housework gets in the way, we set aside weekends to spend with our siblings or going in the pool with our niece in the summer. After a long day of work we look forward to cuddling up on the couch together and catching up on each other’s day, but secretly we yearn for the day we won’t get to sit down because we will be chasing our most important little family member around all day!

FAMILY IS everything

While we can’t fathom the feelings you are having during this time as you make a brave & courageous decision, our promise to you is that we will love and protect your child unconditionally from the moment they are placed into our arms. They will always know they are safe and protected. Family is the root of everything to us and they will be welcomed by a significant support system, who has been by our side through this journey, waiting to share their love with this child for whom we have prayed for. We find happiness knowing one day we will be able to share all the love we have in our hearts not only with each other, but your baby. We value the importance of telling your baby where they came from and how you were the most important part of their story. We hope you would share in our wish to be able to always keep in touch & share photos as they grow; important milestones, letters/ emails, whatever makes you the most comfortable! They may not have our eyes or our nose, but they will undoubtedly have our hearts. THANK YOU for taking the time to take a “glimpse” into our lives and getting to know us a little better.
