Jack and Elizabeth
HELLO!
- WE ARE -
Elizabeth & Jack
along with our daughter,
Beatrice
from MASSACHUSETTS
- Dear Birth parents -
Thank you for learning more about our family.
We hope the following pages give you a good look at our life together.
We’re very honored that you are considering us to be parents to your child. If you choose to place your child with us, we promise he or she will be joyfully welcomed into our family and will always be deeply cherished.
We always knew we wanted to have children, but we were not able to conceive naturally. Having many friends and family members who have adopted children or are adopted themselves, we were familiar with adoption and decided to proceed with it. We felt a true sense of peace doing this and, ultimately, it brought us our amazing child, Beatrice, whom we adopted as a newborn. However, we do not believe our family is complete.
We can provide your child with a safe, comfortable home and neighborhood, educational opportunities, and most importantly, our time, attention, and love. Having contact and visits with our daughter’s birth parents has been an incredible gift. We would also love to develop an open relationship with you, if you are comfortable with it.

Story
Our story as a couple starts on St. Patrick’s day 11 years ago when we met at a road race. A mutual friend introduced us and it turned out to be a classic case of “opposites attract” with extroverted Jack and quieter Elizabeth. We ended up having our first date that same night – we went out for Chinese food which has become our St. Patrick’s day tradition! As we got to know each other, we learned that we shared the same faith and strong family values.
At the time, Elizabeth was living 2 hours away. Jack, a true gentleman, spent a lot of time braving rush-hour traffic to visit, and we soon knew we wanted to be together forever. 8 years ago, we married and moved to Jack’s hometown. In the following years we fixed up our home, took a few great trips to places like Germany, Ireland, and Las Vegas, and ran more races together.
While we still enjoy traveling when we can, our routine days at home are the best part of our lives.
Going on walks, working in the garden, visiting family – we think those daily experiences add up to a meaningful life. We want to give our children the same loving, safe childhood that we had. Our children will grow up with family dinners, lots of fun birthday and holiday parties, adventures around our neighborhood, and plenty of aunts, uncles, and young cousins.

Elizabeth
by Jack
Elizabeth has always wanted to be a mother and I love to see how she has grown since our daughter arrived. She has created a calm and loving home for us all to enjoy. Her thoughtfulness and measured approach to life complement my more excitable personality. After one of my good friends met her for the first time, he told me he knew she was the one for me. Elizabeth loves to learn. She is always reading about new topics and coming up with new places for us to visit.
When Elizabeth sets a goal, she is determined to accomplish it. Although she can be serious, her quick sense of humor often lightens the mood around our house. I love how Elizabeth makes sure that every evening at dinner, we each share our favorite part of the day. This leads to a lot of laughs and a time for us to bond as a family.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE,
LOVE WHAT YOU DO
Elizabeth is a stay-at-home mom. She will continue to be home full-time with your child as well. Elizabeth loves the flexibility this offers – some days are spent at home doing chores and playing, other days she and Beatrice go out for activities or to meet up with friends and family. Being there for every moment of Beatrice’s childhood has been a very special experience, and Elizabeth looks forward to sharing that with another child.

Jack
by Elizabeth
I always knew that Jack would be a wonderful husband and father. I love the relationship he has with Beatrice. Every week she looks forward to their special Saturday morning date for pancakes at a local cafe. He is one of the most generous people I’ve ever met and never hesitates to give his time to friends and family, as well as to the community organizations he belongs to. He works hard to support our family, both at the office and as our resident handyman at home. There’s nothing Jack likes more than a good party – he is always the first person to volunteer to host family holidays! I remember when we hosted some of his college friends for the weekend, he was up at 5 AM to bake a pie and then got a huge breakfast on the table before anyone else was even awake. Jack is upbeat, truly enjoys life and brings a lot of happiness wherever he goes.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE,
LOVE WHAT YOU DO
Jack is a third-generation owner of his family’s insurance agency in his hometown, where he and Elizabeth live today.
As a very outgoing person, he enjoys being out meeting with customers and creating relationships in the community. Jack is able to come home for lunch almost every day, and as a business owner has the flexibility to be there for his family when needed.
- BIG SISTER -
Beatrice
“The journey of life is sweeter when traveled with a dog.”
Beatrice can’t wait to be a big sister and loves to practice taking care of her baby dolls. She is a talkative, creative, sweet little girl who zooms around the neighborhood on her bike and would stay on the playground swings all day if she could. Beatrice was born missing one of her lower legs and uses a prosthetic leg to get around, but that doesn’t slow her down! Supporting her through this has shown us that as a family, we’re prepared to meet any challenges your child might face.

HOME
WE LOVE LIVING IN MASSACHUSETTS
We live in a small suburb in Massachusetts, on the same street that Jack grew up on. It’s a family-friendly, easily walkable town, and our street in particular is a destination on Halloween – we get over 1,000 trick-or-treaters every year! Our home is more than 100 years old. Our favorite feature is the fireplace, and we spend a lot of time relaxing by a cozy fire as a family on cold evenings.

Pets
We have two 7-year-old indoor cats, Oscar and Daisy.
Daisy, especially, loves Beatrice. Every night when we’re putting her to bed, Daisy comes in and sits on the chair as we read Bea’s bedtime stories. It’s adorable!

Hobbies...
If we have a free weekend, we like to take a day trip – our favorite is a visit to an amazing aquarium about an hour away (we like the beluga whales the best), followed by a drive along the water and of course, a stop for ice cream afterwards. We enjoy nature walks, children’s museums, going to the local zoo where we have a membership, shopping at our neighborhood farmer’s market, ordering pizza for family movie night, spending the day at the beach, and even just running errands together on a Saturday. Elizabeth likes to train for short road races, read mystery novels, take long walks, and work on decorating the house. Jack spends his free time woodworking, rowing, doing all kinds of household projects, and baking desserts for us all!

LOVED ONES
“Be around people
that are good for your soul.”
We both feel lucky to have grown up with loving parents who provided us with wonderful examples of commitment to each other and loving parenting. We’re very happy that Beatrice also has a close relationship with all of her grandparents.
Jack’s mother lives in the same town as us and is a part of our daily life. Although his sister and her family don’t live close by, we still see them several times a year. We especially love when his whole family is together at their summer home on the coast. Beatrice always has the best time with our nephew and two nieces.
Jack also has a lot of extended family in Texas. He visited Texas often when he was younger and we went most recently in 2019 for a family reunion. We look forward to going back!
