George and Monica

HELLO!

- WE ARE -

MONICA

& George

from The Great state of Texas

DEAR EXPECTANT

PARENTS

We hope this profile gives you a snapshot of who we are and more importantly the life your child would have growing up as part of our family. Adding your child to our family would be the biggest blessing of our lives.

We have always wanted to have a family, but due to infertility issues we were unable to conceive. Adoption has continuously been in our thoughts since we have family members who were adopted and have friends that grew their families through adoption. We’re comfortable with an open adoption and we’d like to keep you updated through letters and pictures so that you know you made the best decision for your child and so that the child will know where they came from.

ABOUT
US

We have been married for 15 years and were originally introduced to each other by Monica’s aunt when were in college. Monica’s aunt got to know George through his volunteer work at the elementary school she worked at. George was a mentor to the first graders. He would read to them, help them with their homework and bring them juice and pizza. George has always been great with kids and will be a wonderful, loving father.

Monica also enjoys engaging with children and likes to joke with kids to make them more comfortable and make them feel special, especially if they are shy. By the end of their time together Monica has made a new special friend.

- OUR LIFE -

TOGETHER

Together we enjoy listening to and discovering new types of music and artists. We love to go to concerts and sing and dance around the house almost every day. We especially love being silly and making each other laugh.

We are excited to share our laughter and joy with a child and can’t wait to hold him or her!

MONICA

FROM George

Monica is a bit shy at first, but once she gets to know people, she becomes the life of the party.

Monica has been in the church choir since she was three years old and is now the choir director. She enjoys singing, learning new music and teaching the choir.

Monica is often joking around because she likes to make herself and others laugh. She even makes others laugh with the way she laughs!

Monica is loving, dependable, understanding and likes to take care of others. She is excited to take our child to the library to read books and play on the playground. She also looks forward to doing arts and crafts and teaching our child about music.

I am a Certified Public Accountant. I work at a wealth management firm where I am a manager in the tax department. I enjoy my job because I work on different projects every day and I work with a great team of people who are always ready to lend a hand. My co-workers are like family and are also excited for us to have a child. I am able to work from home a few days out of the week and my hours are flexible so that I can be available for our child’s needs.

I am a Probation Officer. I supervise individuals who have been placed on probation. I am able to help those who want to better their lives with my guidance and the resources we have available. This job is a 40 hour per week job and I can work from home two days per week. This would allow me to spend all evenings and weekends with our child!

A PLACE

CALLED

HOME

We live in Texas in a single-story home near the center of town. Nearby are lots of parks, playgrounds, and many places to visit like the Children’s Museum, the Zoo, art and natural history museums and historic downtown locations.

We bought our home from Monica’s grandmother and it is where Monica’s mom raised her. It has lots of special memories and we have kept up the family traditions of hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas with Monica’s large extended family and have added George’s family as well.

During our free time we like spending time together and relaxing at home. Monica likes to try out different types of crafts and reading Jane Austen fan fiction on the weekends while George is listening to records or watching movies. We often take walks in historic neighborhoods in town to admire all the different types of architecture. We are also often volunteering at our church which is just down the street from home.

Our Thoughts

- ON -

Parenting

As parents, we want to expose our child to as many learning opportunities as possible. We want to nurture our child’s interests so that he or she can find their true passions in life.

We have the financial resources to provide a well-rounded education and involvement in extracurricular activities. We want to encourage our child to be respectful, caring, loving and to share their gifts and talents with others. We are able to provide a stable, loving home and our child will have his or her own room to make their own. Our child will also have a big back yard to play in and explore.

MEET OUR

FAMILY

Every year we host our families for the biggest holidays of the year– Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are excited to teach our child all our family traditions and to create new ones.

Monica’ mother Sylvia and stepfather John would help care for the baby the first few years when we are working until it is time to start school. Our families are eager to welcome a new baby to the family.

George’s parents have passed away, but they taught him the importance of putting family first and to be friendly and respectful to everyone he meets. George is the youngest of his family and has lots of nieces and nephews ready to welcome a new cousin!

We also have many supportive friends who are like family and are excited to be uncles and aunts to our child.

OUR FINAL

THOUGHTS

We know you have a very difficult decision to make and hope that you arrive at a conclusion that brings you the most peace. We promise that we will love your child with everything we have. We will provide a comfortable and safe home where we will encourage communication and discussion about the adoption. We will also let our child know they are adopted from the earliest opportunity, but most importantly we will let them know that they are loved by more than one set of parents.

We thank you for taking the time to check out our profile and learn more about us. We can’t imagine what this journey has been for you, but we admire you for your bravery and compassion to allow us the opportunity to join you.

- With Love, -

Monica & George
