Ed and Alyson
- WE ARE -
Alyson, Ed, and
from New York
We are grateful and appreciative that you would consider allowing us to welcome your baby into our lives.
We want you to know that we respect and admire you for considering adoption. We promise to keep you in our prayers for answering our prayers to have a child to love and raise. We know that God will bless you and take care of you.
We are eager to expand our family. After reading this, we hope that you will come to believe what we already know in our hearts – we can provide your child the loving, secure, and happy home of which you dream and which every child deserves. Please “cruise” along with us as we give you an insight into our journey — past, present, and hopeful future. We look forward to sharing updates and photos with you into the future!
- WHY WE ARE -
When it comes to family, we have always felt the same way – It was an absolute that we wanted to have children as soon as possible. We always dreamed and wished for more than one child because Alyson knows the joys of having siblings and Ed always wished he had a sibling. When we discovered that infertility issues prevented us from having children we didn’t hesitate to look toward adoption. We understand that family consists of the people around you who love, care, and support you and we look towards adoption again as a wonderful way to extend our family.
- MEET THE CREW -
Our relationship is a true love story, with twists and turns, and a very happy ending. After a few years of dating, we decided to go our separate ways to fulfill personal life choices. In a twist of fate in 2006, we unexpectedly ran into each other at a local theater production sponsored by mutual acquaintances. It may sound a little silly, but neither of us paid much attention to the play. Instead we spent much of the time catching up and sharing stories of what had happened since we last were together. After several hours, we exchanged phone numbers and subsequently planned a “first” date. Well, as you can tell things worked out well and lead to our marriage aboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship named the “Explorer of the Seas”.

Ed was born and raised in New York. He is an only child and has always desired a big family since he never had any brothers or sisters. His favorite pastime is bowling which began in elementary school and lead to his advancement to the Professional Bowlers Association. He spends some of his free time at the bowling alley where he competes on a few leagues.
Ed is a major movie buff and can recite scenes from almost any movie made. He is a big Yankee fan and tries to catch as many games as possible whether on TV or at the stadium. Ed is very family orientated whether it be with his own family or his newly extended. His generosity is overwhelming and he is always available to assist when anyone needs a helping hand. Ed being a big kid himself can be seen with our son and younger family members playing games and having fun. He also volunteers on Chris’ baseball team as a coach.
Ed loves being around children. I look forward to the day when I will see Ed provide another child with the stability and strength I have come to depend on. I hope that he has the opportunity to make another child proud of him as a dad.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE,
LOVE WHAT YOU DO
When Ed wasn’t bowling he could be seen learning the family business (fire extinguisher maintenance) from his father where he continues to work as well as manage today.
Ed has taken on two additional jobs, one is a real estate salesperson and the second is 3D virtual tour photographer. He did this to allow me to be able to stay home with our son and future child(ren).

Alyson was born and raised in New York. She has one younger sister and is extremely close to her family. Growing up Alyson loved dancing and participated in anything that revolved around dance including competitions. Between dance numbers she could also be seen reading a good book.
Alyson is thoughtful, kind, caring, honest, trustworthy, nurturing, and most of all loving. Alyson always keeps friends and family in mind and makes an effort to support her loved ones in any situation. I look forward to the day when she can continue sharing her loving nature with another child and be the amazing role model and woman that I am lucky enough to be with.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE,
LOVE WHAT YOU DO
Alyson put a strong importance on a good education where she excelled in math which led to her career in accounting. Due to her working with numbers, she is every husband’s dream because it makes it easy on me when it comes to balancing the checkbook. When our son turned one, we mutually agreed that it was time to focus on him so Alyson became a stay at home mom.
- ABOUT CHRISTOPHER -
Christopher (Chris) was adopted in April 2015 when he was just 3 days old. He is smart, energetic, and extremely sports oriented. At 6 now, he is extremely active and loves to be outdoors. He is involved in many after school activities such as karate (currently a green belt), gymnastics, baseball, and soccer. It is difficult at times to keep his daily schedule straight.
Chris is a new cousin to adopted Kylee. He enjoys teaching her new things. Chris has taught Kylee how to do raspberries and she has gotten rather good at it. Chris is looking forward to being a big brother to a little boy or girl. He already talks about how he will assist and teach another child all that he knows. We both know that he will make an amazing sibling!

EXTENDING THE CREW
Family is very important to us. We are blessed to have both our families live nearby so that we can enjoy getting together on a regular basis.
Alyson’s parents live just a short drive away in the house where she was raised. They have been married for 50 years. Her father is retired and is pretty handy and great to have around when something needs repairs. He is also available at any time to do anything for his grandchildren. Her mother works part time in a local department store. Her younger sister also lives only a short distance away. In November of 2020 she adopted a baby girl. We all can’t wait to celebrate holidays with another child(ren).
Growing up Alyson’s parents put a strong emphasis on family. They had dinner together every night. It was important that everyone felt involved thereby creating an environment where you felt safe and most of all loved.
Ed’s mother lives just minutes from us as well. His parents were high school sweethearts and would have been married over 40 years at the time of his father’s passing in 2005. Ed was extremely close with his father and took his passing rather hard but found peace in knowing that many of his father’s attributes still carry on today in how he handles life situations. Ed was taught at an early age that love is the core of the family unit. Being an only child, Ed was the center of his parents world.
Ed is extremely close with his Godmother and her family. They communicate on a regular basis. When Ed was a child his parent’s owned a second home in Pennsylvania right next door to his Godmother. They would all go to Pennsylvania several weekends a month where they would enjoy her fabulous Italian cooking.
Pulling into Port
In the summer of 2014, we purchased our second home. A larger home with hopes that our first adoption would come to fruition. This home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac that is diverse consisting of a variety of age ranges from families just starting out to those of retirement age. Everyone is extremely friendly, and we have become close enough to know that we can count on one another whenever needed. We are also lucky enough to have a view of a farm from our front door and can enjoy seeing the guests on their hayrides during the fall season. We look forward to the day when we will hear more laughter from our children outside playing with the other neighborhood children.
Thank you for taking the time to view our profile. We want you to know that we will always be fully aware of the blessings that you have instilled upon us. We would be forever grateful if you would choose us to provide your child with a loving home. We promise that we will give all the love, support, and encouragement that we can to your child and help them grow into an individual that you would be proud of. We continue to be hopeful that we will be blessed with the amazing opportunity to be parents again. We look forward to a new chapter in our lives to share with another child(ren).
