We know it can be hard getting to know someone by reading just a few quick paragraphs, but we’re so grateful that you’re taking the time to consider us to be a part of your child’s future.
Adoption has always been a part of our plan, and we’ve worked hard to create a stable and comfortable home to raise a child in. We feel closely connected with the idea of adoption, and that pregnancy isn’t the right journey for us. We don’t plan on having biological children. We do plan on hopefully adopting more children in the future, though.
We plan to be fully open with your child from day one, because we believe it’s important for them to know where they came from. You will always be an important part of their story. We’re open to as much or as little communication as you’re comfortable with. We know this is a complex decision, and are here to answer any questions you have. We’re truly thankful and can’t wait to start our adoption journey with you.
We first met in August of 2010 at an open mic night at our college. During winter break, we realized that our hometowns were only 20 minutes apart, and decided to see a Disney movie together. We were officially dating a f ew months later, and have been enjoying the magic of Disney together ever since.
In our marriage, we pride ourselves most on our openness and communication. We work through problems together as a team with honesty and full support for each other. We always have each others’ needs in mind, and know that no obstacle is too big for us to handle. Most importantly, we always focus on bringing fun into our lives, saying “yes” to as many new experiences as we can.

WE HAVE A FUN AND ACTIVE LIFE IN OUR COZY TOWNHOUSE WITH OUR CAT OLLIE. We value structure and routine in our daily lives, but always strive to make every day fun and exciting, and not feel like a chore. We both work from home full-time, so we have plenty of time to pursue our hobbies, including playing music together at local wineries and restaurants, kayaking, apple picking in the fall, an d game nights with friends. We are giant kids at heart and love going to Comic Con every year and watching funny kids shows and movies together. Our favorite thing to do together is visiting Disney World, which always reminds us of the first time we met and brings our relationship full circle.

Tori is the most creative and talented person I’ve met. She effortlessly picks up new art forms – sewing clothes, painting, baking intricate artistic cookies, and countless other crafts – and uses these talents to make gifts for the people she loves. Anytime a friend is having a new baby, Tori crochets hats or stuffed animals just for them. She loves nature, is very empathetic and is especially amazing with animals. She’s like Dr. Doolittle – I’ve seen chipmunks crawl onto her lap and let her feed them by hand!
Tori is also incredibly organized and a fantastic planner. I can rest assured that every Disney trip we take will be expertly scheduled for maximum magic and quality time together. Tori ensures that we are always making new memories, seeking out new experiences, and spending time with the ones we love. I know she’ll give our child a wonderful childhood, and pass these same values on to them so they build a life as exciting as the one we have.

Tori works from home full-time as a li censed customer service representative for an insurance company. While insurance may not be the most exciting subject, Tori enjoys solving problems and the flexibility of working in her own home. She has a good relationship with her co-workers, and loves working for a family business.

I know Dean is going to be an amazing dad. He’s been practicing Dad jokes for the last several years. He is the least judgmental person I know, always understanding of every situation he comes across. He goes out of his way to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable. When I’m sick, he goes above and beyond to take care of me, when I’m afraid of a creepy spider, he runs to kill it, and when I’m having a bad day, he takes me out for ice cream. He loves our cat Ollie and is always cuddling an d playing with him.
Dean is the cook in our family. He never says no to a challenge and loves re-creating our favorite meals from restaurants. Dean’s biggest passion is music. Ever since I met him, he’s been incredibly dedicated to it. He can play almost every instrument, and if he doesn’t, he will figure it out in about a day. He also knows how to break down music in a way that’s easy to understand and loves sharing his knowledge by teaching others. He’s always helping out local musicians with projects and is the “go to” guitarist in the area.

For the past decade, Dean worked as a private music instructor, teaching hundreds of students over the years to play instruments. While he loved sharing his knowledge and nurturing the talents of the children he taught, the long hours and time away from his family led him to make a career change. He now works from home full-time as a content creator and music producer, writing songs for major TV network shows, commercials, and his own original music.

HOME
WE LIVE IN A RURAL PART OF NEW YORK, WHERE WE EXPERIENCE ALL FOUR SEASONS. There are local apple orchards and pumpkin patches that we enjoy going to in the fall, at heme park, miniature golf courses, and many playgrounds and walking trails nearby. There are also tons of ice cream stands, strawberry fields, drive-in movie theaters, and festivals for kids to enjoy. We’re also a short train ride away from NYC. Dean’s parents and grandparents live close by, and we have many friends and cousins in the area, some who have children and some who have even adopted, that we enjoy spending time with.
Our Cat, Ollie
We adopted him as a tiny kitten in 2015. Apparently he was found in someone’s car engine! He was so small, only 2 pounds when we adopted him, but he is now over 12 pounds and super long! We love celebrating his birthday and “gotcha” day every year by making him a birthday hat and having a photoshoot. He has a very goofy personality, follows us around the house 24/7, and enjoys sleeping on Tori’s feet at night.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS
While we share a lot of interests, we enjoy separate hobbies as well. Tori loves to bake fun desserts, watch YouTube videos, and shop at local malls and farmers markets. She also enjoys sewing clothes, going to trivia with her friends, yoga, and watercolor painting. Dean enjoys playing games with his friends, cooking intricate meals, making music, and designing video games. Together, we enjoy playing Mario Kart, taking walks around the neighborhood, kayaking, and watching superhero TV shows. As we mentioned before, we also perform in an acoustic duo band at local wineries and restaurants, and record songs together for Spotify.

Loved Ones
FAMILY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US. Dean’s family lives nearby, and we always get together for family dinners, birthdays, and holidays. Every year Dean’s parents hold the annual Christmas party, where the entire extended family (close to 70 people) gather for dinner. Dean also has a sister who lives in NYC that we visit often. Dean’s parents are very kind people who are very excited to be grandparents, and will help us every step of the way on our adoptive and parenting journey. They’ve always been supportive and helped us whenever we’ve needed them. We’re also very close with Tori’s grandma, who we visit often with in Delaware. She loves to bake birthday cakes and make fun crafts for everyone she knows.
WE HAVE MANY FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS IN THE AREA THAT WE CONSIDER FAMILY AS WELL. We watch each others’ pets, share vegetables from our gardens, and support each other in times both happy and sad. Every year we host a holiday cookie exchange party, where we gather to share good food and celebrate the holidays with each other

PARENTING
Just like in our marriage, we plan to value communication and openness with our children. We want to be honest with them when discussing our decisions, always explaining the reason for rules in a way they can understand. We want them to trust us so they know they can always come to us with any problems they have.
We plan to nurture their passions, no matter what they are, helping them learn and explore everything they take an interest in. Whether it’s music, art, sports, science, or anything else, we’ll do everything we can to give them the tools they need to follow their dreams.
Most importantly, we pledge to support them no matter what for the rest of our lives, always doing everything we can to make sure they’re safe, happy, and that they know they’re loved. Being a parent is a life-long commitment, and we plan to support them not only while they are a kid, but hope to be there for guidance and support them as needed as they grow up as well.
