EXPECTANT PARENTS,
WE ARE LOOKING TO EXPAND OUR FAMILY OF THREE THROUGH ADOPTION. We have a 6 year old who is looking forward to have a sibling he can love and share everything with. Melissa is Native Spanish from Peru and Danny was born in New York as well as Joseph. Melissa works part time in an elementary school. Danny is a Fireman. We are a close-knit family, celebrating birthdays, holidays and summers together at each other’s houses.
We also have 13 nieces and nephews, and they are thrilled to hear that we are trying to adopt! We are open to send you pictures, letters and updates of your child after the placement. We know how important it is to know your child is safe and happy with us.

OUR STORY

OUR STORY BEGAN 10 YEARS AGO. We met right around the time when the storm “Sandy” hit the New York area and caused major flooding. It’s significant to me not only because of the floods that came but more because my car at that time was actually ruined because of the flood. For about 3 weeks I was without a car and Melissa, now my wife was wondering why I wasn’t driving to where she lived to see her. After about 2-3 weeks Melissa decided to take a subway and railroad to meet and finally see me in person. That resonated in me and I knew after that first meeting I had something special and I better get a car right away!
That determination on both of our parts is what makes us special, and a big part of why we are here now doing this special process of adoption.

If you fail, try again. We want to give that gift to another special child. Every day we teach our son how important it is to do the small responsibilities in life.
We hope and wish for our son to show a younger sibling these same responsibilities with love, and our help of course!

I COME FROM A SPANISH BACKGROUND AND FAMILY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR US. I love to make people laugh and look at life in a positive way. I’m always thankful for what God provides.
My career keeps me busy but I value the time I spend with family and friends. I enjoy reading, watching sports, running, spending time outdoors, and listening to music.
I’ve loved children all my life. Being a mom is a blessing and has truly changed my life. I have never felt so happy and fulfilled.

LOVE WHAT YOU DO
I WORK PART TIME AS A LUNCH MONITOR IN AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 5 MINUTES AWAY FROM OUR HOUSE. I love working with kids and I get to leave my house after I drop off my son at school and I am back right before I have to pick him up so that makes it the perfect job for me. My hours are 11 AM to 2 PM. Once we adopt, I will stay home so I can care for him/her and give my kids more time.

Danny is most in his element when he’s outdoors, especially while teaching our son and nephew all about camping, fishing or how to drive the boat. Our love for adventure keeps us on the move and I couldn’t ask for a better person to share this life with.
Watching Danny do anything to put a smile on our nieces’ and nephew’s faces only amplifies my love for him and solidifies my firm belief that he will be a strong, compassionate, and fun father.

LOVE WHAT YOU DO
I AM A FIREFIGHTER WITH THE CITY. I always wanted to be in civil service, which is largely serving the public. I enjoy helping people and there is no better feeling than seeing someone finding relief or peace of mind after some sort of emergency in which I helped them. It is a very rewarding job as in seeing people happy to see that you are there to help. Being a firefighter allows me to spend a lot of time with my family because my shifts are 24 hours on and then I get 3-4 days off in a row.
OUR
HOME
WE LOVE OUR NEIGHBORHOOD! We live in a close knit community with many children and families. Most of our family and friends are within 10- 20 minutes’ drive away and we enjoy having them over for family parties and BBQ’s.
We also live close to a large, beautiful beach with a boardwalk. We go running and walking there a lot on our spare time.
Our house has a large yard with a ton of area to run and have fun during the summer. We have a trampoline, small pool, and are surrounded by beautiful green areas and parks.

MEET OUR
Loved Ones
WE BOTH COME FROM LARGE FAMILIES, any given holiday looks like a rather large gathering of grandparents, mothers, fathers, all the way down to the youngest cousin in the family which is Melissa’s brother’s son. It has become a family joke that the amount of food we have could feed a small army.
DANNY COMES FROM A LARGE FAMILY. He is one of ten brothers and sisters. Two of his brothers are adopted, which is why adoption holds a big place in his heart.
His niece is also adopted and we are so happy she has become part of our family. We love her very much and spend a lot of time with her. Our son is so happy he can share fun and precious time with her.
AS A FAMILY WE HAVE MANY TRADITIONS. We look forward to them each season. Many of them have been passed down from our great grandparents. We enjoy celebrating Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Pumpkin picking with friends and their kids.

FAITH
We were raised to put faith in God. A times I can see that life gets so busy that we forget what actually got us right up to writing this paragraph at this moment. Things like this bring my mind back to where it should be. As much as we want a new baby to welcome to our family, we remember that God puts everything we need in our lives.
