For us, welcoming your child into our home will be our wildest dream and most wanted adventure. Since we first met we both knew we shared the same values and that having a family together would make us complete.
When we learned that we could not have children, our devastation turned into hope for adoption. With several close adopted family members near and dear to our hearts, we know that love transcends all. Hope has been powerful for us and it has led us to you. Our hearts are wide open with love and in the hopes you will find us worthy recipients of your trust.

OUR STORY BEGAN IN 2012 when I sent Chris a Facebook friend request of all things. Most people don’t believe it but I definitely made the first move, he looked so mischievous and fun! On our first date Chris literally stood there for a whole minute when I got out of my car, I was pretty convinced he was thinking of just driving away. When he tells the story he points out that he was verifying I was the right girl on account of how beautiful I looked (he is a real charmer if you can’t tell). We connected over our love for life, desire to explore and goofy humor and I don’t think a day has passed where we haven’t laughed together.
While our love for each other has grown deeper, for so long it has been the two of “us” and our hope to share our lives with a child has only grown stronger.
OUR DEEPEST DESIRE IS TO MAKE OUR FAMILY THE “three of us”.

TOGETHER
In our family we roast marshmallows around crackling summer fires, snuggle under blankets while reading books before bed and have piping hot pizza during weekly game night. On weekends and holidays we travel and explore- sometimes
dipping our toes into the warm ocean waters and at others surrounded by the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. After 9 amazing years together we look back and are thankful that I sent that friend request!

Amanda is the most amazing person I’ve ever met. Compassionate, intelligent, fierce and beautiful; she is the type of woman that lights up the room the moment she enters. She exudes a passion and zest for life that truly inspires.
Amanda is going to be an amazing mom. We see our niece and nephew several times a week and it is impossible to describe her love for them. I hate to admit it but Connor will often poke me and remind me that Aunt Amanda is his favorite and Kinley can’t help but giggle the second Amanda picks her up. Watching her with them is one of my favorite things and I know that being a mom is what she wants most in this world.

As a registered nurse my passion is for providing compassionate care to those with mental health conditions and developmental disabilities. It has a provided me the opportunity to build genuine connections with my patients and their families. Nursing has helped me become even more patient, understanding, and appreciative of family. My job is wonderful in that it allows me flexibility within my schedule to accommodate my dream of being a present parent.

To put it simply, Chris is the most incredible person I’ve ever met. He’s been known to light up many wedding dance floors with his sick dance moves, bring laughter to any event with his fantastic sense of humor and quick wit and never misses a chance to be goofy. His strength, determination and fearless nature are a source of comfort to not only me, but all those who love him.
Chris is the epitome of a supportive and loving husband, putting in that little ‘extra’ every single day to make me feel special and appreciated.
Chris is most in his element when he’s outdoors, especially while teaching our nephew all about camping, fishing or how to drive the boat. Our love for adventure keeps us on the move and I couldn’t ask for a better person to share this life with. Watching Chris do anything to put a smile on our nieces’ and nephew’s faces only amplifies my love for him and solidifies my firm belief that he will be a strong, compassionate, and FUN father.

LOVE WHAT YOU DO
As a registered nurse I get to positively impact the lives of my cancer patients. I enjoy taking care of people and try to give my patients hope and humor during their struggle. I work full time 4 days per week, Monday through Friday, allowing me to be home more frequently with our child. Family has and always will be my top priority.
HOME IS
WHERE THE heart IS
WE BUILT OUR HOME IN 2019 in a rural community surrounded by the beautiful apple orchards of Upstate NY and have five wonderful acres for our child to play on and explore. Chris’ mom lives next door so family is always within a country block. Our home has an open floor plan downstairs that has made it the perfect venue for movie and game nights. Curling up with some popcorn and watching a good flick with family is a favorite past time of ours!

OUR HOME IS FOUR-LEGGED FRIENDLY! We have an amazing cat named Oliver (commonly found wearing a sweater), a Newfoundland dog named Maverick and a gentle giant of a Great Dane named Floki. Our animals have grown up with our nieces and nephew and are well behaved parts of the family.

Chris and I love the great outdoors. Hikes in the mountains, kayaking gentle streams and boat days with family are just a few of the things we enjoy. When we aren’t out exploring we LOVE movie days on the big screen and find enjoyment playing with the dogs in the backyard. Hosting large family and friend barbeques is also a common summer activity for us. Game night is a winner at our house with a dance off or two known to happen. We also find happiness in the quiet moments lost in the adventure of a good book. Sometimes for us the time at home is time well spent.
- ONE BIG -
Happy Family
Our family functions as a solid unit together and we especially enjoy holiday times. Every year we go to harvest Christmas trees for each house. It is always a joy to watch our nieces and nephew experience the magic of Christmas spirit. With my mom, dad and siblings we do a yearly Christmas cookie decorating party. I have to admit the cookies turn out pretty crazy looking but the time spent with each other is irreplaceable. We also have a yearly Easter egg hunt where all the little ones gather to search for candy filled eggs- if they are really lucky they might find one that Chris’ mom rolled a dollar bill into! Halloween is another favorite of ours. All our siblings gather to see who has the wildest and craziest costume. My mom hosts a yearly camping trip where we can get together and kayak, swim and relax. Our family is all about togetherness, where love is stronger than blood. Chris’ step-dad, aunt and cousin were adopted and we encourage open discussions and honesty, something we will continue with our child.

As nurses, Chris and I are well trained on childhood development. We plan to incorporate that into our parenting style by encouraging imagination, celebrating our differences and loving unconditionally. We will provide a safe and loving home, financial stability and dependable family to rely on. In our lives, family means everything.
