Brian and Keri

Hello there! We are Brian & Keri from New York. We are excited to share a peek into our lives and appreciate you taking a moment to learn more about us! Shortly after marrying in 2013, we began trying for a child; however, infertility issues changed our family planning and ultimately led us to adoption. We are thrilled to be able to expand our family not only with this beautiful child you have created, but also by extending our open arms to you and your families with updates, letters, pictures — as much or as little as you’d like.

We recognize that as exciting as this is for us, you likely are feeling quite differently and we want you to know that the trust and faith you place in us will never go unnoticed, nor unappreciated. We hope that you will find comfort knowing that your child will have a loving, stable and safe home with multiple neighborhood families to play with. Our extended families are equally excited for this opportunity and all of us are looking forward to sharing our love with this little one. Thank you for your consideration!

How We Met

We met online in 2011 and after our first date, we both knew that our search was over.

We quickly discovered that we shared many similar interests ranging from traveling and animals, to karaoke! Our bond was further deepened with a common sense of humor and perhaps most importantly – our shared family values. Since our wedding in 2013 we have spent a good amount of time traveling throughout the US; we love exploring our great national parks. We even were fortunate enough to make a trip to Italy and London this past year! When we aren’t exploring other regions, we like to go on Sunday walks, hike trails at local parks, play cards, visit our favorite café, and go to the movies (which may or may not be an excuse to eat popcorn)! We love sports and keeping active, so we’d encourage our little ones to be curious, embrace new things, and explore all that life has to offer.

AT THE BEACH IN CALIFORNIA

Brian’s quiet strength, resilience and never-ending support are just a few reasons why I adore him. Anyone fortunate enough to know Brian will tell you that his kindness and loyalty are second to none. One of the things I love about him most is his ability to make me laugh every day. Whether we are laughing at each other, or at something else, there is always something to smile about in our house. He is a great communicator and a great provider for our family; he does not shy away from tough situations and has always been my rock. When I see him playing with our nieces and nephews or with our friend’s kids, it fills my heart – I cannot wait to see him grow and interact with his own children as a father.

THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT HE WILL BE THE BEST DAD!

DO WHAT YOU LOVE,

LOVE WHAT YOU DO

I work as a financial director for a local food and beverage company. I help my company set long-term strategies and goals. I really like solving problems and learning something new every day. Luckily, my job is flexible about working in the office or remotely, so I hope to spend a lot of time working from home to be with my growing family as much as possible.

DOING WHAT SHE DOES BEST — BAKING!

Marrying Keri is without a doubt the best thing that has ever happened to me. She has the heart of an angel, the sharpest wit, and makes the best cookies! Her perseverance and sheer will to get things done is remarkable. She would drive 200 miles to help a friend in need or call a dozen different places to find that perfect birthday gift. Her laugh is infectious – just throw a funny animal video in front of her and everyone in the room will be laughing along with her! She’s a loving Aunt “Kiki” to our 6 nieces and nephews, and she is their favorite. I can’t wait to see her fulfill her dream of being a mother;

I KNOW SHE’LL BE A LOVING INFLUENCE ON OUR FUTURE CHILDREN, AND THEY’LL BE AS LUCKY AS I AM TO BE IN HER WORLD.

DO WHAT YOU LOVE,

LOVE WHAT YOU DO

I have been a Physical Therapist for the VA Medical Center for over 14 years. I enjoy the challenges that come with treating the Veteran population and feel privileged to be able to give back to those who have served our country. What I love most about my work is being able to help people improve their quality of life. When we have a child, I plan to take several months off (or years) to be a stay-at-home mom!

Furry FRIENDS

One of our passions is animals. Having pets is a staple in our house and we currently have a cat, Spike. Spike is 14 years old and a faithful companion. He loves to hunt, cuddle, and sleep. We recently lost our beloved dog, Franklin; whom we miss dearly.

PLAYING PING PONG IN OUR BASEMENT

We live in a tight knit suburban neighborhood in New York which is also one of the top school districts in the state. We’ve put our heart and soul into making our house into a great home to raise a family. We finished our basement during Covid as a DIY project to create a perfect play space for kids (and adults) of all ages. We have a fenced in yard for running around and a pool to enjoy during the warm summer months – which our friends and families do quite often! We can’t wait to watch our children play and grow in our home and community.

- OUR -

Hobbies

We love to explore new areas both near and far. Brian loves to golf with his friends and find home projects to work on. He enjoys our pool during the summer, swimming as often as he can. Keri cherishes her time in the kitchen – baking for family and friends during her spare time, while Brian loves being her taste tester. She is a crossword enthusiast and likes to run/workout most days of the week. We go out to the movies once a week and have a tradition of going on a “Sunday walk” every weekend.

Circle

Our friends and family mean the world to us. We have a strong support system and feel blessed to have so many wonderful people in our daily lives. Most of our immediate family and childhood friends are close by, so we are fortunate to be able to see them frequently. Their support for us throughout our family planning journey has been invaluable. We’re also lucky enough to live in a close-knit neighborhood with several young families, many of whom we consider to be very close friends. While the majority of our families do live close by, some of Brian’s family live in South Carolina and Colorado. That means that we have fun places to visit, and you can find us all boating, hiking, or playing pickleball. Keri’s family loves to get together not only for holidays and birthdays, but also for football games! Keri’s parents enjoy camping in the summer and while her mom still works part time, she is more than eager to help babysit our little one! Brian’s mom is a retired nurse and another willing and excited babysitter!

Parenting

WE BELIEVE IN PROVIDING A LOVING AND STABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR OUR CHILD.

Unconditional love, emotional support, financial stability, and open communication are the foundations we’ll provide to allow our child every opportunity to grow and prosper.

We would also like to incorporate any traditions that are important to you in order to ensure that the child always knows and appreciates their roots and culture.

Thank

YOU!

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, WE ARE AN OPEN BOOK.

Keri and Brian

We understand that you are making a difficult decision, and we appreciate you taking a moment to get to know us. We are also new to this process, so please know that you are not alone. Moving forward, we want you to know that our goal is to maintain a relationship with you – whether it be texts, pictures, or video calls. We also are willing to visit in person if that is what you desire. This may be difficult at times, but we will always be supportive and will not judge your circumstances or your choices. We want to develop a relationship where we all feel comfortable in order to give this baby the best support possible. This child will be cherished, and we hope that you find comfort in knowing that your strength and love for your child is making our dream of becoming parents come true.

WE WOULD LOVE TO

HEAR FROM YOU!
