- WE ARE -
from New York
THANK YOU so much for reviewing our profile and getting to know us
We respect your strength, courage, and love you show your child by considering adoption.
We met 15 years ago and have been married 12 years. We have always dreamed of being parents and once we knew having a child naturally was not going to happen for us, we started considering adoption. We believe life has a way of working out just the way it is supposed to be, which has led us to adoption to create our family. We truly believe adoption is our way for our dream of becoming parents to come true. We are so excited for the opportunity to raise a child and share our family traditions and create memories.

We met on a blind date on the coldest and windiest February night. We sat at the worst table in the restaurant right by the door and it kept blowing in the cold air. Brian told me a few corny jokes, which I laughed at and Brian says that is when he knew I was the one. I took a little more convincing. We discovered we both have a similar sense of humor, value our families, love our pets and love finding joy in simple things. We have shared values of honesty, hard work, family, and kindness towards others. Our relationship is strong because we communicate well with each other and support each other through life’s every day and big challenges. We truly enjoy spending time together.

We enjoy walking our dogs at the nearby parks and relaxing around our home during the evenings and weekends. It is important to us that we eat meals together and share about our day with each other. During the summer we love going to Brian’s family’s summer home on Lake Ontario, as much as we can. We love boating, beaching, walking the dogs at the beautiful state parks, watching the gorgeous sunsets over Lake Ontario. Sunsets are meaningful to us, we were engaged at sunset on Lake Ontario, married at sunset in Hawaii, and enjoy seeing them wherever we are. Our vacation home is a wonderful place to create memories and spend time together. We dream of sharing this special place with our child.
Amanda has a great sense of humor and this was the first thing I loved about her. I know in our near future at any time we will both be hysterically laughing at something. Amanda will make an excellent mother because she is caring, patient, well organized, and honest. She enjoys making our home feel welcoming and she is a very good cook. She looks forward to being a mom and spending time with our child. Amanda was a summer camp counselor for underprivileged kids for ten years and she has shared many stories and memories with me of her time with the kids. She enjoyed teaching them how to make s’mores over a campfire, sing songs, and read to them each night. Her time as a camp counselor prepared her to be a fun and great mom to our child.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE,
LOVE WHAT YOU DO
We are both supervisors in local county government departments. I supervise staff that provide temporary financial help to families to assist them with leading safe, healthy, and finanically independent lives. I enjoy helping the families my department serves and developing my staff. Many of my co-workers are like family and have become close friends over the years.
I fell in love with Brian because of his kind heart, great sense of humor and his love for his family, which are all reasons he will be a great father. Brian is honest, hardworking, and takes his responsibilities seriously. He enjoys fixing things around our home as well as helping around his parent’s house and our vacation home.
He looks forward to being a parent and he often shares with me how he wants to share experiences at our summer home with our child, like he had in his childhood. He also dreams of when he can teach our child to water ski, play baseball (or whatever sport they want to learn), and bring him or her to concerts. Brian will unconditionally love and encourage our child and I look forward to watching him become a wonderful father.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE,
LOVE WHAT YOU DO
We are both supervisors in local county government departments. We are fortunate we both have the same work schedule and plenty of time off, which allows us to enjoy evenings, weekends, and holidays together. Brian supervises staff responsible for providing services to children and families to strenthen family life as well as providing safe and stable living situations. He enjoys the variety of his job duties and training new staff.
meet our furry
We have a strong love of animals and treat them as part of our family. We rescued all our pets and they love people. Junior, our big beagle, is very gentle, goofy, and loves to howl outside. Rosie, our little beagle, is loving, very sweet, and loves to cuddle under the blankets. Fancy, our dachshund, she is very sweet, spunky, and independent. Sochi, our cat, is very vocal and independent. We both had pets all our lives and want to share our love animals with our child.
Our home is in a beautiful rural mountainous area of New York State. We get to enjoy all four seasons throughout the year. We love exploring the many parks and trails nearby. Our school district and community have many activities, such as an ice-skating rink in the winter, a pumpkin party in the fall, a country fair in the summer as well as many resources available for children and families.

We look forward to sharing our hobbies and interests with our child and help them discover their own interests. We love spending time at our vacation home, boating and beaching. We enjoy walking and hiking with our dogs on the beautiful trails and parks near our home.

Our family and friends are super excited and happy for us to add to our family through adoption. Our families are both small and very close to us. There is always a lot of fun and chatter when we all get together. Brian’s parents live about 30 minutes away and we see them often for family dinners, to watch football, hang out by their pool, and share our family traditions on holidays. Brian’s brother and his family live a couple hours away. Our family spends a lot of time together at our vacation home creating memories.
Amanda was very close to both her parents who helped shape her into who she is today. Amanda’s parents both passed away in the last 10 years. They both taught Amanda the importance of family, hard work, caring for others, and to be a kind and patient person. Amanda and her brother stay in touch regularly. He is very excited to become an Uncle. Amanda has close friends and a few she has been friends with over 20 years. Our close friends are important to us and are like family.

We have dreamed of becoming parents for a long time.
We are in a great place in our life to provide a safe loving home and financial stability. We look forward to creating wonderful memories, teaching our child good values and life skills. We value education and will support them in any way they need. We plan to encourage and support them to pursue their own interests, goals, and dreams in life. We look forward to watching him or her succeed in their own life.

Thank you again for taking your time to get to know us and for considering us as potential parents for your child. We promise your child will be raised with a life full of love, opportunities to learn and experience new things. We intend to raise them to be strong, caring, and independent. They will know they were loved from the very beginning and how brave and strong you are. We intend to share photos and letters so you can stay connected with your child as they grow. We look forward to welcoming you and your child as part of our family in an open adoption if you are comfortable with that.
