Hello!
- WE ARE -
KRISTINA
& ANDREW
from TEXAS
OUR ARMS AND HEARTS ARE OPEN.
We can’t imagine what you are going through but please know that we are incredibly grateful that you are letting us get to know you and we hope that in the pages that follow, through our story, you will see the loving and adventurous life we will provide your baby.
NEITHER OF US ARE NEW TO ADOPTION. We both grew up with children who were adopted, and currently we both work with and are friends with people who were adopted, so for us, the idea of family has always included adoption. Interestingly, we’ve always dreamed of having a family, we just didn’t know that adoption was the only way for us to achieve this dream.
Thank you for helping us make this dream a reality.

Story

OUR LOVE STORY IS A TALE AS OLD AS TIME. I walk into a bar and sit next to a cute guy. We begin to chat, and realize we have a lot in common. One happy hour leads to another happy hour, and before the end of the month, we were on our first date.
We got along so well, that within a few months we were already on a plane to Norway for our first vacation together.
After Norway came Peru, and after Peru came Thailand followed by many more adventures. Four years later, we got married on the anniversary of our first date, which just happens to be Leap Day.

FOR KRISTINA, LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE. She is always on the lookout for the most fun and the most delicious. The liveliest and the most exciting. I tend to just go with the flow, but with her support I have been able to accomplish and experience things I never thought I’d do on my own. She is always thinking about those close to her and does whatever she can to help people whenever they are in need. With her loving and encouraging nature she will make an incredible mother. We are both so excited about becoming parents, and adoption has always been a part of our plan. We have been looking forward to this moment since long before we were married and cannot wait to start this part of our life together.
KRISTINA'S
PROFESSIONAL LIFE
I was born and raised in Texas, and, careerwise, I’ve never imagined doing anything but giving back to that community. Each day, I get the opportunity to work with an amazing allfemale team, in empowering the women of my city, helping them knock down all the barriers that keep them from reaching their self-defined success. Both Andrew and I are fortunate to work for companies that are supportive of our family plan, providing us with flexible schedules.

Andrew is definitely the yin to my yang. Andrew is all calm, smiles, and jokes. When I worry, he’s carefree. Especially when I’m stuck in the midst of adulting (deadlines, bills, to-do lists). All it takes to banish my stress away is for my husband to smile at me or to hear his laugh when he’s dived head-first into the latest edition of his favorite comic.
Andrew rarely gets frustrated with the small stuff, and he always sees the brighter side of things.
Each day he excitedly works hard to provide, support, and care for me and his immediate family by sharing video game time with me, bathing our dog Laika in the blistering heat, being my plus one at boring work events, or putting time aside to care for a family member or friend. Family is always in the forefront of his mind, and because of this, it should be no surprise that he has always wanted to be a father.
ANDREW'S
PROFESSIONAL PROFESSIONAL LIFE
IN 2009 I GRADUATED WITH A DEGREE IN CIVIL ENGINEERING FROM TEXAS A&M. Go AGGIES! For the last 13 years I’ve worked in transportation as a Roadway Designer, and I love every aspect of my job. I enjoy the planning, the designing, the collaboration, and ultimately being able to get stuck in traffic on a road that I designed. Recently I achieved my career goal of becoming a Project Manager.
OUR
HOME
WE LIVE RIGHT IN THE CENTER OF THE MOST DIVERSE CITY IN TEXAS. All the city’s excitement (museums, zoo, concerts, theatre) is a five-minute road trip from our home. And let’s not forget the food! Our city is huge, but that does not stop us from driving from one end to the other to sample some of the country’s best cuisines. The neighborhood we live in is very walkable with many other young families, good schools, and several large parks within walking distance of our home. Both of our immediate families live in the same city as us, so they’re usually included in our adventures. We live in a townhome with two bedrooms and two and a half baths. When the weather permits, we enjoy walking to a nearby café to grab a coffee and dessert and play a game of cards or dominoes.

DOG
We have a beautiful 10-year-old German Shepherd mix named Laika. We rescued her 8 years ago from a local shelter and she has been our loyal companion ever since. She is great with kids and accepting of any person she meets, especially if they offer her treats. Her favorite activities are car rides, long walks through the neighborhood, and visiting her Grandparents. Though her demeanor is more on the calmer side, she is always welcoming of a tummy rub from anybody. There is no doubt in our mind that when we have a baby, she will be permanently parked below the highchair of her new best friend.

PEOPLE
We are both close with our parents and siblings and make regular trips to go visit them. Where we live is less than 30 minutes from either of our parents. Andrew has one older brother who lives with his wife and two teenage children, and Kristina has a younger sister who lives with her fiancé. We will be the first people to adopt a child in our family, and both of our families are excited for us and cannot wait to be a part of our child’s life.
Our family also includes our closest friends. They are all very energetic, funny, and loyal. They are some of our strongest supporters and cannot wait to be our child’s auntie or uncle.

SHARED
PASSION
Travel is a great passion we both share. Growing up in such a diverse city has fueled our desire to immerse ourselves in a new culture, enjoy the local food, and to explore the surrounding beauty of nature.
Ever since we met, we’ve made it a priority and a tradition to travel internationally each year, with a few domestic trips sprinkled in-between. Together, we’ve gotten stamps in our passports from Europe, Asia, and South America.
There’s still so much of the world we haven’t seen, and as soon as our child is a little older, we plan, and look forward to our child sharing these experiences with us.
THANK
YOU
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We hope that you were able to see that our home is full of love, humor, and adventure. We’re excited about our future and it’s all thanks to you for providing this opportunity for us and your child. As we start this new chapter of our lives, please know that you will forever be a part of your baby’s story.
Open adoption has always been on the table. Family is all about love and open adoption gives your baby an additional person(s) to love him/her. Also, if questions arise or your child wants to reconnect with their birth family, open adoption allows for that. We expect our family’s relationship with you to include annual visits and periodic email contact if that is something you are comfortable with.
WE WOULD LOVE TO
HEAR FROM YOU!
