As a mother who has left the hospital without her baby multiple times, I can appreciate the moment that inevitably comes with adoption. We want you to know that as a family we have been praying for YOU, our baby’s first Mom, since the day we started this journey. You are loved, appreciated, and admired no matter which path you decide to take. You will be known and celebrated in our home forever, as you are the hero that completed our family. Tim is genuinely the funniest person I know. He is the rock of our family. I will never understand how he can manage his store, be home every night for dinner, and still have energy for road trips and adventures as a family. His smile tells you everything. He is the kind of dad that works a 10-hour day, comes home at 5 and before he gets into the house he is making mud pies outside with our son. He is there when you need him, even if it’s only for a long hug. He came into Jase’s life when he was about to turn three. The bond they have is indescribable, we do not consider blood the definition of family in this home.

Jenn’s smile can cure just about anything. Her unwavering strength and determination to be the best mother, wife, daughter, and friend she can be is unmatched. You can usually find her singing and dancing around the kitchen island making food for someone, or outside with the animals. She is beyond excited to complete her second certification in Holistic Nutrition this time focusing on pre/post-natal and childhood nutrition. Jenn is funny, empathetic, intelligent, adventurous, and genuine. She is my best friend, and she was born to be a mother.

Jase’s superpowers are his hugs, the kind that fill you up instantly. He can not only hold a conversation with you, but it’s interesting and he most likely started it. Jase is adamant he is going to be a Paleontologist when he grows up, telling everyone he is bringing his brother or sister along with him. He adores his 9 cousins. Jase is in Forest School, a homeschool cooperative, soccer, and karate. Jase is kind, funny, loving, loyal, selfless, and very emotionally intelligent. He cannot wait to be a big brother; the other day he told us he was “practicing skin to skin” with his stuffed animal. He is so deserving of a sibling; we already know their bond will be unbreakable.

MEET OUR PETS

For now, we have 10 chickens, 2 dogs, and a bearded dragon. Oakley is our small guy; he thinks he is just as big as Asheville though. We call him “Oaks ma goats” and he has the quirkiest personality. He will bring you his ball for the entire day if you let him. Asheville is our princess. You would think she would be our guard dog, but she’s too friendly and loves immediately so that’s not effective. She has always been respectful of Jase’s and Oakley’s physical space, then breaks free when she runs outside. They are Jase’s best buds, and I cannot wait to watch them grow with our next child as well.

OUR HOME & COMMUNITY

We live in an adorable Village. Our home itself is sitting on about 15 acres, but we can still walk Jase to his classes! In fact, our favorite thing to do is walk as a family. We spend as much time outside as possible when the New York weather permits, learning our way around a small farm. Our village has two stop lights and so much character. Lucky for us, just 10-15 minutes away we have big towns and cities with all the necessities to have fun, explore, and shop. It truly feels like the best of both worlds.
