We are so grateful to have this opportunity!

We want to adopt because we deeply believe that a family is built through love, commitment, and consistency. Our hearts and home have room for another child to love, and for Zuri to build a meaningful bond through shared experiences. Having become parents through adoption, it feels like the most natural way to continue growing our family. We are ready to provide another child with a stable, loving environment where they feel secure, heard, and valued exactly as they are. Adoption is a lifelong commitment, and our hearts are ready and eager to make it again.

About Max by Brit:

Max is our home. He provides safety, comfort, laughter, guidance, and unconditional love. He loves building and renovating, always creating spaces that make our home feel even more special—including the incredible outdoor play area he built for Zuri. Max is happiest outside, with music always playing as he sings and dances, a joy he’s passed on to our daughter. With his sweet disposition, he makes everyone feel at ease. Zuri always comes first, and he’ll drop anything to be with her—even if it means wearing a sparkly cape and beaded bracelets.

Brit is our biggest supporter, always there through any obstacle with honest advice and unwavering love. She’s adventurous at heart, whether hiking in the mountains or soaking up the sun at the lake, and she loves sharing those experiences with Zuri. Brit brings compassion into everything she does—from supporting family and friends to teaching first graders, coaching lacrosse, and being an incredible mom to Zu. She has a gift for bringing out the best in others and making everyone feel deeply cared for. She’s created a loving, nurturing environment for our daughter to thrive.

Zuri is pure joy—full of big energy, love, light, and a touch of sass. Being Zuri’s parents and watching her thrive has been our greatest journey. She makes us incredibly proud, and it’s such a gift to watch her learn and grow each and every day. She thrives outdoors, especially at the cottage, where family, sunshine, swimming, boating with her Pupu, and creative play make her happiest. A little artist at heart, Zuri loves to color, paint, and “snip,” as she calls it, in her playroom, and she makes sure every creation earns a spot on the fridge. She’s a very social girl who loves to play with others, filling every space she’s in with energy, creativity, and connection.

MEET OUR CAT

We have one indoor/outdoor cat named Pepperoni. Although we have always considered ourselves “dog people” we have recently found out that we are just “animal people.” Pep joined us by accident when he wandered in our yard while we were eating lunch (pepperoni pizza). He ended up sticking around and we wouldn’t want to have it any other way! He is so sweet and gentle with our daughter and brings us joy and entertainment daily.

OUR HOME & COMMUNITY

We were born and raised in New York State and love experiencing all four seasons it offers. We enjoy spending time outdoors year-round, from hiking, boating, and water sports to campfires, walks, sledding, and skiing. Our community and school district provide many opportunities for children, including sports, camps, clubs, and music. The district is filled with kind, supportive teachers who prioritize building meaningful connections with students and nurturing a love of learning. We’ve lived in our home for 12 years and have thoughtfully made it our own. It’s spacious, with a beautiful backyard and woods to explore.
