We have not been successful in conceiving biologically, but still believe in our hearts that becoming parents will be fulfilling a lifelong dream of ours. Adoption has felt like a natural path for us to follow. We believe that raising a child is one of the most rewarding privileges we can ever seek. And with the love, care, and respect we have for each other, we want to be able to grow our family by giving a child a home that will allow them to thrive for who they are. Ashley’s presence is warm and inviting. She has a natural gift for creating a welcoming atmosphere wherever she goes, making people feel comfortable and included. Her kind, nurturing spirit is particularly apparent with children.
Ashley has a playful spirit that projects a calming effect. She is a patient listener who treats everyone with genuine respect, something people intuitively recognize and appreciate. Her values wholly align with Juan’s, with positive developmental approaches such as honesty, kindness, empathy, and the importance of family.
On a practical note, Ashley has a talent for home decor. She finds joy in transforming their living spaces throughout the seasons and holidays, making sure their home remains fresh and inviting year-round.
OUR PETS
MEET OUR PETS
We are proud pet parents of two very people and animal-friendly rescue dogs, Lucy and Lola. They are near complete opposites, as all dogs have their quirks, yet sisters at heart.
Lucy, the calm and fluffy little-big sister, loves to give cuddles. She is quiet yet friendly and gives a gentle nudge when she wants to be silly.
Lola, energetic and obviously smart, helps keep Juan and Ashley active with daily walks and backyard frisbee tosses. She loyally follows nearly all of their steps as they are engaged in household chores so she doesn’t feel left out.
OUR HOME & COMMUNITY
Our neighborhood is charming and is a mix of young families and friendly established ones. There are several family-friendly parks nearby, including a newly developed skate park. There is also a community center, and a canal with access to a scenic trail for walking, biking, or kayaking adventures. It is one of the best places to live in New York State and has a top-rated school district. Our home is a welcoming and cozy place with a private backyard for spontaneous s’mores adventures and outdoor movie nights. It is close to a thriving downtown area that hosts a number of annual activities that gathers people from all around. The neighborhood itself has a wonderful sense of community, with approachable people and smiling faces all around.
